Not happening. I was unaware that his contract expired this season. There's no way in hell the Rockets actually give him a new deal if they lose this series.

Really? You got to be kidding

Dwayne Casey is a better coach than McHale. He has done great with that Toronto team.

In fact, I still can't believe we chose McHale over Casey when they were both in contention for the job.

The only coaches possible worse than McHale are Ty Corbin, Woodson (who is gone).

McHale is definitely one of the 5 worst head coaches in the NBA

Didn't Corbin also just get fired(or technically not resigned) by Utah?

Once he is gone which is hopefully soon, I'd love to hear the excuses from all the McHale apologists who have hurled constant insults at me ever since I started this thread through private messages and anonymous reps.

Hate to say I saw this coming way back and he should have gone LONG time back.

Didn't we want him gone the first season he was here? Particularly after that disastrous closing 6-game losing stretch.

We patiently bided our time when Morey gutted the roster because McHale was probably the only coach willing to coach a super-young and inexperienced team.

But now, we can't afford losing seasons in Howard's and Harden's prime.

Morey, it's time to look in another direction. Get rid of him. Or the fans will riot.

Same here.. This is why i kept my expectations at a very minimum this year.. I could care less about the wins bc honestly any coach could of got 50+ wins with this roster. Mchale is a airhead when it comes to coaching and developing players. His plays out of timeouts are atrocious. I never trusted a team that relies on three's, which is why I never bought into this team. Its a facade during the regular season and is now getting exposed royally right now.

Morey only hired him because he wanted a puppet head coach. Morey wanted to decide the style of play and rotate players freely in and out of the team. I understand the second part but the man needs to realize good coaches are stubborn for a reason.

I'll give McFail credit for this:

He is good at cheering his players on and his players seem to like him.

I'm curious to know if the players know how crappy of a coach he is or them working with him has clouded their judgement.

I am all for firing Mcfail, but who would we be able to hire for next season?

I also doubt Parson will be getting that fat contract he wished for. He just shut down so many doors with his speech and his skills during this playoffs run. Rox will prolly still match up salary from oher teams, but I doubt other teams will throw big money at him. He may also be available via trade.

I think double Aldridge is less risky than doubling someone like Howard who is deep inside the paint and can pass to an open player easily. When you double Alridge, you need to practice anticipation and rotation quickly. There is no question this Rockets team can do this if they practice...but they're not even attempting to try it. McFail is a horrible coach.

Dude I've been wanting this guy gone since season one. It just baffles my mind how people in Les/Morey's position can continue to employ a person that is not a good fit. It's just so absurd. Now the season is wasted; and we have so much talent.

So braniac Morey, please find a saavy and crafty coach with a great dynamic game plan for offense and defense. This should be proof that just b/c someone is a HOF, that on the court success they had as a player doesn't always translate to success coaching, and if you think coaching isn't so important oh great connoisseur of the stats, I hope these last two games are evidence that your philosophy needs some MAJOR reworking.
