I hear ya pimpin'. It takes a lot to get on my ignore list. Some posters push the limit but I always err on the side of caution because everyone has bad days. Hell I was so frustrated last night I know I woke the wife up with some hollering. I like to take a step back because I'm certain quite a few folks here are just young. I remember those hot emotions getting the better of me very well :)

As for Harden I think it's the pressure of the expectation level coupled with piss poor coaching. Last year we were playing with house money. This year most of us expected a first round series win. I know I did. When things start to go bad it really exposes those cracks under the surface.

I just have one question, does Harden put glitter in his beard, it's like staring at the finest 17th century Italian chandelier, the way the light glistens off of it.... mesmerizing.

Soo...what will you be saying if/when we lose this series?

Let me guess, you're one of those guys who will be talking about next season and how the rockets have an awesome future, and Harden is a super star yada yada ignoring the fact that we just lost a series against a team we were supposed to beat.

I have a feeling that everyone wants to eat there words. But you have to understand, he played terrible like this last season as well. He played like this against the Heat the season before, that's a pattern of behavior that worries fans.

    This ^

    IBTL is 100%

It's a seven game series and of course posters have the right to be upset. The Rockets haven't played a good game YET. No blow outs....Blazers have won 2 close games and because they are well coached and LA is a beast.

Mchale deserves JUST as much blame as Harden. Why is the *****ing world would you consistently guard Lamarcus with centers 18 ft from the basket? Dwight and Asik are racking up fouls on this dude....why Mchale? Where is D-Mo? You remember him right? The 7 footer that plays pretty good team defense and doesn't get lost in pick in rolls. Him! I'm not saying that he will Stop Aldridge, but d@mn at least Dwight and Asik won't burn fouls and energy guarding him 18 feet away. Our bigs can focus on boarding and defending the rim. Why change your rotation now? He adjusted to Portland before the series started. D-Mo is a legit body to throw at LA and it will help save dwight's energy and fouls because ITS CLEAR DWIGHT can't guard him.
It's like I'm in r****dedville and coach can't see this...I can't be alone. Maybe i'm tripp'n, but i do know that Houston has the MOST fair weathered fans in north america and will turn and run for the hills in moments like these. it's 0-2....they have to win 2 more. Monday morning we better be 2-2 or it's over....THEN you B!tch

    Come on man, lol.
The only difference between optimistic and pessimistic fans are what they express on the boards.

Not a single person here is rooting for the Rockets to lose.

i dont believe anyone here is losing faith in the rockets - but they are frustrated and its hard not to blame fans.

they were given a big speech by both Howard and Harden about how they needed to play in game 2 etc etc. Howard delivered and Harden did not.

Its not even about the loss right now -- its just HOW the team played -- their body language, the lack of energy especially to start the second half. It looked like the only ones who cared and competed were Howard, Beverley and Asik. I understand those 3 are the teams best defenders but they brought energy to the team and the rest of the guys just did not.

I completely lost it last night in the fourth when after a made basketball Harden was trotting back on defense behind Lillard who had the ball and he was the last one into the front court. I mean he wasn't jogging backwards where he couldnt see his man he was walking back onto defense being able to see all the other 9 players in front of him and just casually strolled back. Effort like that is just unacceptable to the fans who live and die with this team.

I dont mind if the team loses - but how the team loses means a lot to me. Back when the Rockets lost to the Jazz in the 08 season (w/o Yao) and the series against the Lakers -- I didnt even mind when they lost at all - those teams just competed and you know some times you can compete hard but ultimately if the other team has more talent and also competes you just wont win.

In my mind the rockets are the more talented of the two teams in the series and after game 2 all I could think of is Coach Wooden's quote:

"Hard Work beats out talent when talent does not work hard"

The quote above personifies the team as a whole right now and it starts with Harden - he is the team's star and the other guys will follow his lead

Definitely. Guy needs to shut the hell up and give better effort on the court. You want to be the big man on the team, you have to act like it and play like it.

    Not sure if posted already:

****ing pathetic. The maturity hasn't improved since Dwight got here. He's suppose to be a playoff veteran but he also takes part in these antics and is too lax towards Harden.

Man look at here LOL I couldn't sleep last night knowing I had to wake up at 4:30 am. Now I am paying for it as we speak. Good thing today is a Cadillac day so I will get some rest around lunch time. But I hear you some people be tripping on here for show. Usually I would say something but I have learned my lesson. Jokers will snitch on you in a heart beat LOL.

Agreed McHale's coaching is atrocious and Harden isn't making things any better. Reason why I said that McHale for some reason is scared to get into Harden face when he is playing like crap. And he won't bench him either. So what that does IMO is disrupts the teams unity and chemistry. Then Harden makes this comment about defense LOL come on mayne, you are not giving it your all defensively. So how are you out of everybody making that comment. But like I said, he will step up his game and all will be well around the GARM..LOL maybe.

I typically don't post much esp when I'm feeling so down but..
You'd think these cats could take a couple of weeks off from partying during the playoffs. I was super irresponsible in my early 20's too but still occasionally took a few days off from partying when it could effect my school or work. Who's to definitively say what's going on with Harden but something appears off.

    Disappointing.

Sometimes I wonder why I invest so much time and money in these sports teams. :(

    It's a seven game series!

Initially this was correct, but now it has become a five game series! We need to win four of the next five, with three of those games in Portland. Can it be done? Of course, and I'm really hoping we beat the odds! But let's not fool ourselves, the odds are not in our favor! Regardless, as disappointed as I am with the current situation, I am not totally shocked giving that this is our first year with the Harden/Howard era!

    GO ROCKETS!!!

IBTL, I don't know why it seems as if you took offense to what I asked but to each his own.

We were up by double digits TWICE and TWICE Portland came back. This was a winnable game by the Rockets on all fronts. Putting Howard on the line took the momentum out of the team but it doesn't excuse Harden's overall play. And lest we forget, it took a more-than-usual stellar performance by Parsons in the first half to even get that close.

So Aldridge playing out of his mind in Game 1 was an outlier, playing out of his mind again in Game 2 was a coincidence...what if he does it again on his home court in Game 3? They won without another player scoring more than 18 points (Lillard).

So if (big if) the Rockets lose Game 3, are you going to keep with the "It's a 7 game series" mantra?

 What adjustments have McHale made in this series that have made you think that he can outcoach Stotts? If this was Rick Adelman or Jeff Van Gundy or Rudy T I can see why but there hasn't been a significant time in McHale's coaching career that has given me optimism that he can gameplan well enough to get the Rockets to a game 7 victory.

If the Rockets do come back and win this series it's because Harden has finally woke up and goes off on his own rampage like Aldridge has done and that's still very possible. But to leave the teams' playoff success on the coach? That's why/where people can (rightfully) call McHale out.

The testicular fortitude that those old Rockets teams (sans the 2-0 chokejob) shown is one of the things missing from this team. I don't know how I can show you that if you can't see it yourself.

Calling people weak because this current set hasn't shown enough to make them believe that things can change is callous. No one on this board doesn't wish for a miraculous turn around and a playoff series win. But the combination of bad body language from the players, the (consistent) disappearing act of our best scorer, the dumbfounded looks by our coaching staff, and the myriad of other things that is snowballing don't really help the cause for fans on here to believe it can happen and that's their right.

Please. Lin has had every opportunity to succeed and he has consistently under performed. I am critical of him when he deserves it and praise him when he succeeds, but I am fair.

Harden has consistently DELIVERED over the past two seasons. Does he deserve criticism for this series? Absolutely. Does he deserve the garbage being spewed out in this thread? Like the quote below.

    Absolutely not.

He has earned slack., Jeremy Lin has not.

I actually look at it as a 1 game series. lose this one and you can get your forks ready because they will be done.
