Anyone else think we would have been better without Harden on the floor most of the night? Yep. It's sadly true.

Since the emergence of online gambling the rockets have lost in 8 of the last 9 first round match ups. Do we love to gamble in Houston or what?

Don't think its Lins fault at all. Lin tonight was bleh.. couple nice moments but mostly irrelevant, and a bone headed foul at the end. But if we're going to blame Lin for that one play, there were tons of plays we can blame other players throughout the game.

Everyone except Howard and Bev(at times) played like horse manure.

Harden and Parsons, WHERE ARE YOU? I DON''T SEE YOU.

McHale need better control of this team. Team looks so unorganized. Rockets playing like chickens with their heads cut off. Mchale needs to know when to yank players and COACH ON THE FLY, instead of sticking with his set rotation minutes he used all season. He's got to be more like Popovich. He'll yank star players if they're hurting the team and make adjustments all game long.

lol, no one considers the alternative, so we dont foul and let portland bring it down, lillard directing the offense, Harden on d, and LMA ready to ice it

Some of those posters are the same people who thought McHale was a good coach.

    the test

If we lose this series because the coach didn't do nothing to shut down LMA, then the test is when Portland meets San Antonio. If the Spurs shut him down, then you know Morey needs to fire McHale. A coach which has no set plays, makes no adjustments, can't do nothing to improve the team's defense, he has failed the team and the fans. Houston has no future with him as the coach.

Again, this goes back to ISO and Harden getting tired. He simply settled too much for contested threes and raise up mid jumpers looking for foul. He needs to attack the basket and look for contact, which he did not do a lot in this series.

Whether Matthews makes or misses, I think the "problem" is just that Portland is forcing Haren to play defense i.e. forcing him to expend real energy on defense whether he wants to or not. When Matthews posts up, Haren can't just face up and let him go and do that butt swipe poke. He's forced to take the post up. I don't remember any team doing that against him this season and it could seriously be throwing off his offense as a result.

He's definitely the better small forward.

At some point some people within this organization need to be held accountable. I hope that even you can acknowledge that.

We need someone who can set him up for success. Let do some ISOs, but also have him come off of off-the-ball screens to make it easier for him to score.

Bev played well tonight, but he looked noticeable slower (to me at least). Lillard blew by him a couple times with ease.

I think maybe Lin should start next game... he didn't play that much tonight while Bev clocked in 40+ with a tweaked knee. Wouldn't hurt to start Lin honestly, unless he reverts back to reg season Lin, then obviously sub him out asap.

I don't know if Spurs or the Mavs would be able to shut down LMA, but they for sure would make it difficult. McHale is numb or so impotent that he just has no clue.

I think Harden is actually trying to play D in this series and he has no energy left for the other end of the floor (not great conditioning)- weird, we were better off when he played NO D and saved it for the other end - at least he was making shots and was not a net negative.

Don't think it's a guarantee matchup against the Spurs for Portland if they win this series. Spurs not looking that good during their first two games against Dallas. They got very lucky the first game when Dallas collapsed down the stretch or they could be in an 0-2 hole when having home court advantage just like us.
