Just curious. . . . any college Coaches out there you'd be willing to give a shot Majeres, Tubby Smith, Arizona's Coach, ETc Rocket River dunno all the ins and outs of the college game
No, no and no. We need a guy with NBA head coaching experience. Someone that won't let the players walk all over him.
Uncle Les & CD will not look at any college coach so this is a moot point unless his name happens to be John Wooten. Since Coach Wooten is nearly 90 years old, there's NO chance of that happening.
I agree with Free Agent... we need a proven NBA coach. Not someone who's green. I'm just don't think we'll get a coach who will feed it to the big man and let him create (like Rudy did with Dream). I was really hoping that Rudy would've been here for next year to run the "Dream Offense" (dish it in to the big man, go from there)... Next year is going to be VERY INTERESTING to say the least!
Definitely, bringing in a college coach that can get it done is a statement about the future of the Rockets. I think a college coach is a risk, but you might end up building a dynasty. Rick Barnes.
If you're referring to Larry Brown, I think his 25yr+ tenure in the NBA/ABA probably leaves him w/ more NBA experience than college. The last time he coached college was over 25 yrs ago, the game has changed a lot since then.
25 yrs? i dont think you are correct there. from what i know, he won an ncaa championship with kansas in 88'
Larry Brown coached in the NBA before he was at Kansas. I don't know if it's 25 years, but he has coached for 6 NBA teams, spending an average of 3 to4 years with each.
MacBeth restrains himself from writing a 10 page post about the virtues of Roy Williams' breaks and secondary breaks...the world breathes easier... It's quiet in here.... too quiet.
