We need to make a hard push and vote for francis more for the all-star game beacause right now it doesn't look like he's going to make it. He's currently 5th in gaurds right now behind Bryant, Kidd, Payton, and J. Williams. And he's having a great year I cant believe Williams in front of him, Francis should be atleast 2nd in the balloting behind bryant I demand a recount. So please vote for Francis as much as you can tell your family and Friends.

I love Steve and all just like the next guy, but he should be no better than fourth among guards. Bryant ahead of him, yes. Kidd, and Payton, Mmmmh..yea. Jason?, Hell no!!

I agree we all need to vote for Steve. I personally think he will get in. He is 3rd among all guards in the west in scoring and I really want him to get in the game. That being said the all star voting the fans do only provides the starters for the all star game so Steve no matter if he was 4th or 5th in the voting would have to get voted on the team by the coaches who vote. Either way if any of yall go to the movie theatre grab a handful of those allstar ballots and start voting for Steve. Does anybody know how many guards get into the game? is it around 5 or 6? NO way Jason Williams gets into the allstar game. His numbers aren't great and no coaches will vote for him. Steve's only real competition is Michael Finley and I think he will beat out Mike for that spot. Flat out he's having a better year than Finley and the all star on the Mavericks isn't Finley its Dirk.

Actually, I consider Steve Nash to be the all-star on the Mavs this season. I think he's done more for the team this year than anyone else.

Yea whenever I watch the Mavs he is always at the center of things but with Nowitzki the Mavs are great without him they are an average team. When you take away Nash the Mavs are still a good team. He's not that important to the Mavs which is why Nash for Bibby rumors have come up recently. I still really like his game. He is one of the smartest pg's out there

Nash for Bibby? Vancouver's not that stupid.

Anyway, if you have, say, 5 guard spots (5 guards, 5 forwards and 2 centers) and two are taken by Bryant and Kidd who win the voting (and how can they not?), you have three spots left. The coaches will vote in Payton (who should be ahead of Kidd and Bryant) for sure. Are there 2 other WC guards who would get ahead of Francis? I think Stockton is going to be in it again. And Finley may beat out Francis by virtue of his experience. I also see an outside chance of Brandon making the game. So I think Francis has only a slim chance of making it.

There is a slim chance of the team deciding to go with 6 guards, but that would mean taking away a guy a C or at PF. At C, after Shaq, you've only got Robinson, Divac and Dream, so I think that's possible (especially since Wallace and Duncan can play C). At PF though, you've got: Garnett, Wallace, Malone, Duncan, McDyess, and Webber who should all be there, plus Nowitzki and Abdur-Rahim who probably deserve to be going as well. If anything, you want to weight the team toward the forward positions.

My prediction on the WC roster:

    O'Neal
    Garnett
    Wallace
    Malone
    Duncan
    Webber
    McDyess
    Bryant
    Kidd
    Payton
    Stockton
    Finley

If someone gets injured though, Francis will be the replacement.

JV, that's happening to me also. I've only been able to vote once.

"I am" is reportedly the shortest sentence in the English language. Could it be that "I do" is the longest sentence ?
