2013-2014: Houston Rockets 4th in total technical fouls

Damn... 76??? What's crazy is that we're 1 of only 5 teams who haven't had an ejection this season. So I guess the bright side is that our guys are good at getting one T per game lol.

I wonder if all 6 of SAC's ejections are Boogie.

 

Maybe it includes 3 second violations? Because, yeah, I don't recall this many technical fouls on complaining and altercations.

 

They must have included 3 second violations - our guys rarely get tech fouls...

 

Well I know Harden, Dwight and Mchale got a couple.

Don't think we got 76... Unless touching the ball is one.

 

Defensive 3 second calls are technicals. We got so many of those this year

 

Dwight gets a tech every other game. Not even his fault most of the time.

 

I'm surprised there's such a huge spread. Utah has only 17 and OKC has 98?

 

last season HOU had very few Ts. it's got to be mostly 3s violations like others have said, because the team overall hasn't become an angrier bunch at all... if anything the rockets of this and last year have always been rather civil.

 

Not a very useful stat when you combine a defensive violation with the traditional meaning of a tech. It's like saying "Houston leads the league in combined travels and blocked shots."

I did kind of snicker at how far from the rest of the pack Utah is. I imagine Gordon Hayward getting pissed off at a call and then realizing "oh wait. Doesn't matter, I play in Utah. We're losing anyways."
