Wow. There are some delusional mother ****ers on this website. First the Rockets aren't going to make the playoffs, and now Kosta Koufos is going to elevate the Grizzlies to the Finals. I can't believe I just dignified that with a response... I'm going to bed.
So you tack on our time in San Diego, but conveniently leave out your Vancouver days? This is year 18 for you guys and you make it seem like we didn't have any success until our two championships. We had two conference titles and two division titles already, four of each in total. In 86 we beat a legendary Lakers team to make it to the finals against the Larry Bird Celtics, who we faced before in 81. Its not like not getting 1st overall picks means you guys were just too competitive or something. So you were never bad enough to land number one, congrats, you guys were just pretty bad a lot. Zero division titles and zero conference titles. The fact the you stay mediocre and therefore don't get 1st overalls has not been a good thing. While you guys have a shorter history than other teams, you guys do have one notable achievement. You guys have been swept out of the playoffs the 2nd most times in NBA history. As for next year, you guys should be competitive. We will probably be fighting for those last few spots for HCA. I really like Gasol, and tend to root for the grizz against other top teams in the west. Just don't shortchange Rockets history. As with any sport where landing one player can change everything, I agree it does take luck. Every Rockets fan feels lucky that we got the Dream. Good luck to the Grizz this season, may the best team win.

tbh though, its insulting to call what a grizzlies fan. Real fans stand by their team and don't ask for recommendations about which new team they should migrate to...just because a favorite player was traded.

Memphis in the playoffs is bad news for everybody. I think they will beat Dallas for the #7 seed. Since I'm a Clipper season ticket holder, I suppose I should root for OKC to beat Detroit to clinch the #2 seed and the matchup with Memphis. Good luck OKC...hopefully you will get out of that series healthy.
This was the prediction I made in August of last year earlier in this thread. I'll revisit this again in a few more weeks.
