James Anderson did not make the Spurs second team. Or even make 11th or 12th man. And he starts for the Sixers.

Which makes me wonder if the Spurs second team is better than half the teams in the East.

Bev, Lin, Harden, Parsons and Howard. Pretty confident in that lineup. On offese, four guys that shoot the 3s, thus unclogging the lane for Howard. On defense, four guys that have the speed to close in on the opposing shooters, with the best defensive C in the world protecting the paint.

IF Powell is finally signed, I believe he will be taking either DMo, Casspi, or Garcia's minutes.

The first 3 games clearly showed us SA has no answer for Howard and Harden. The H & H boys opens up doors for the rest to slash or 3 points.

The Spurs 2nd unit would be a competitive play off team in the East.

Heck, even the Rockets 2nd unit would probably be a play off team. The Hawks aren't even going to be hitting .500 with 5 teams with less than 30 wins in the conference.

Meanwhile, the 9th seed in the West is going to be 48+ wins... that's just wrong on so many levels.

Wow, people are real a-holes in the GARM even after a big win. I already knew we did I was just confirming.

Did not like the Bev, Lin, Garcia, DMo, Asik line up. Better when Parsons plays with bench like he usually does.

Not sure if it is in Rockets interest to have the starters sub in almost as a complete group together, rather than having different combinations with the bench like the spurs do.

DMo did not play well. But Garcia did not make a huge contribution either. We need someone to step up -- whether Troy Daniels or Jordan Hamilton or DMo or Garcia.

Because it makes sense. I am sure McHale will use this lineup A LOT.

Props to McHale for not going small ball in the 4th like he usually does when we're down.

"Dwight Jones" (Dwight + TJ) beat up the Spurs tonight--the difference-maker

yeah for sure, one of my concerns is force feeding dwight in the post, there's a lot of good defensive bigs in the west, hope he is willing to play PnR and set hard screens

Should have heard what the post game announcers and Sean Elliot were saying during the game and after the game that I quote "Howard can not play Defense".

I think JA is better than some of their bench guards, personally.

True, but then what if the opposing Power forward wants to post up Parsons like they did tonight ?

Then you have 2 choices, either double team, or you single cover, let them get theirs and force the rest of the team to beat you.

Against Portland you probably should double team since their offensive system is heavily focused on LMA/Lillard. Shut down Lillard with solid defense and force the ball out of LMA's hands you're probably good to go.

Against the Spurs their system is so strong that you probably have to suck it up with single coverage and play good defense against everyone else. Duncan will get his, but as long as you limit the rest of the team somewhat you'll probably do okay.

The beard has shown he can play PF. He did it last year against OKC. Harden is built lke a tank and very snicky. He could not do all game, but in short spurts, no problem, with the exception of Memphis.

Congratulations to coach McHale, Daryl Morey and all the players for this great season so far. 54 wins and home court in the first round at least.
Who in this place would not have taken that in a heartbeat at the start of the season ?

I called out for T Jones to be the most improved Rocket last season, but injuries gave him a pass. T Jones, you ARE the most improved player on this roster.

Dwight is now in the right place for his game and psyche, James Harden is a Super Star.

Rocket Nation get ready to rumble !

Kawhi Leonard is their answer to Harden. Pops deliberately sat him cause he doesn't want Harden to size Leonard up at all before the Playoff series.
