sad to say, but yes i was. it's amazing the hold a fantasy team can have on you, but dammit my pitching is all that is keeping my team afloat right now and those runs just couldn't be afforded. plus i knew our bullpen could deal with a 2 run cushion.

    from Nick:

But, in this case, he gloved the ball perfectly, "chose" to go to home when he didn't have to, and screwed up the play with a bad choice.

but isn't anything you do wrong susceptible to an error. if outfielders field it cleanly then fire it to the backstop, they can get an error.

There also can't be an error since there is doubt whether or not he would have even gotten biggio with a perfect throw (it is obvious he would have gotten him out, but its the same thinking on how you can't "assume" the double play when an error is made on it).

funny you bring that up, because all our life we're told "you can't assume the double play" and then one day during a stros game brown and deshaies brought it up that apparently you can (which they didn't know either). apparently it just has to be painfully obvious that the DP should be turned (like the guy is only halfway down the line when the DP turner gets it), but you can assume it. so now if any of your fantasy pitcher's ever gets screwed by an official scorer, write him and tell him f4p says your allowed to assume the DP.
