Isn't the whole point of retiring is to not have a job and "work"? She should be doing things she enjoys such as her hobbies.
My dad isn't retired, so she'll get bored. Once he's retired she'll probably hang up the J's for good. I like the bilingual hospital operator thing, how do you apply?
If she doesn't mind standing...usher or ticket taker at Astros, Toyota Center (the suites) or at one of the many theaters downtown.
My dad is retiring later this year. I think he's considering a part time gig at Home Depot or Lowes. It would give him something to do a couple times a week and he'd get a discount on tools.
