He's currently listed in the Philippine basketball roster. I'm surprised.

He's a bruiser type if I remember. Trusting DM on this.

Look at the PFs in the West compared to the Rockets. Morey isn't stupid. He knows it is a weakness. There have been a lot of games where the Rockets were playing down the stretch with both Dmo and Jones on the bench b/c they were not getting the job done. Powell isn't the savior but he adds some experience at the four that the Rockets need.

My MEMORY is that he has that 'Chucky Brown' top of the key jumpshot in his game.

Might be able to sneak in and play some a couple minutes a game at the 4 spot, and keep the defence honest.

He looks to be more capable and played more minutes for the Lakers around that time

I can't believe some of you guys are seriously getting worked up over this. If he sees the floor outside of a blowout, you're screwed anyways. Too bad LeBron and KD weren't on the waiver wire.

I... completely disagree. He covers his guy well, blocks like a madman and is pretty quick on his feet. I'm pretty sure I have a totally no homo mancrush on him, so I may be biased. I don't think I am, though.

He has trouble against post ups, rotates poorly, doesn't box out, and sometimes loses sight of his man.

If his man tries to isolate him, Jones does a great job. Jones also has played the PnR well (seems to play well in space and also can switch)

Just as he did with Pittman, Moorey most be gauging ClutchFan reaction to Powell before committing...

It's not like he's too slow to box out. He just doesn't do it (video). So frustrating to see.

That's what I'm put him as. A big body game. Won't score a lot.
