Usually in the playoffs teams play with a 7-9 men rotation. Assuming both Beverly and Howard are fully healthy, we have 7 spots pretty much guaranteed: Beverly/Lin Harden Parsons TJones Howard/Asik So we probably have only 1 or 2 spots left, with Canaan, Garcia, Hamilton, Daniels, Casspi, DMo, Covington fighting for playing time. Who would you give the last spot(s) to and would you go with a 7, 8 or 9 men rotation?
No he is not guaranteed. We could go twin towers or Parsons could play the 4 with us going small ball. Or Casspi could take that spot as he did often at the start of the season. It all comes down to who does the coach trust most.
I'd include Dmo and Garcia in our playoff roster mainly because of the versatility they bring. They both know their role when they're out there and you never have to worry about them trying to do too much. I like Cannan too but with Lin and Beverly there are just no minutes for him.
Without considering the position, Garcia, because he is battle-tested and brings attitude. None of the others are ready for the big dance.
That`s not what I said. I actually voted DMo. I just said he is not guaranteed a spot. I could see McHale going with an eight men rotation with Garcia taking the last spot. TJones would play 38 minutes, Parsons and Asik would take up the remaining 10 minutes. Casspi was just another possibility. Maybe McHale doesn`t trust DMo in the playoffs - and maybe he trusts Casspi. We don`t know. I think only 7 spots are guaranteed so far.
I really hope we don't see Casspi in the playoffs. For some reason i feel like DMO can do better and we will see Garcia in the playoffs since he showed flashes last season.
Casspi fit best with the playoff. with Howard and Asik and T Jones u dont need another post player. Casspi ability to shoot 3 space the court and take defence from our post players. Casspi is also much better perimeter and help defender (granted not as good post defender but with Asik/Howard and TJones in the post perimeter is much more importent)
I think Mchale will run a 9 man rotation....which will include Dmo and Garcia..... but the perfect rotation in my opinion would be a 8 man one with Garcia that does not include Dmo. He stinking it up as of late.
lmao that killed me :grin: i think garcia and hamilton should take the last spots. dmo can fight for minutes with hamilton, but since there's a lotta small ball in the nba, the 2nd unit doesnt need a big pf. we're gonan need shooting since our main scorers can be inconsistent
