Rofl. This my fellow posters is how you differentiate between a true Rockets fan or a poser, a man or a woman, and a grownup or a baby.
Ask yourself a deep and serious question. Do you (and other haters) find it disturbing when a player, who plays for YOUR team, plays well, and you STILL find ways to criticize him? I really can't wrap my head around it and I've been pretty damn intelligent my whole life. I can speculate but I don't want to cause anymore drama for you guys. Whatever secret agenda LOH have is beyond me, but there must be something deeply unsettling in your own personal life to hate one player this much. it is unfortunate because there are true rockets fans (however few they may appear to be) who root for him and every player on the team to do well. LOF may be extreme at times, but one thing they never do is criticize other rockets when they play well. Whether it's a max player like Harden or rookie like Canaan, we acknowledge their strong play (or poor play) and move on without attaching some ridiculous backhanded compliment.
so where are their names? It could be a rockets fan, an LOH or LOF. Either way, whether those quotes are fabricated or real, the people behind them are ridiculous. I'll go on record at the very least and say that i never criticize other rockets when they play well. No hidden agendas here.
This is a joke. LOF's are one of the worst fanbases if not the worst of any professional athlete. Total joke and a disgrace to mankind and society. Bottom dwellers. If Lin has a medicore to bad game which is often, they start insulting, attacking and blaming everyone from Les and Morey to McHale to Bev to Harden to racism to conspiracy theories everywhere. If he has a good game like yday even in a blow out loss, they claim he is an all star, the real leader of the Rockets, Rockets holding him back yada yada etc etc.
I dont hate Lin, I like him and want him to succeed. He is overly criticized when he makes mistakes i will agree with you there. But dont confuse my hatred for delusional LOF's who blame lack of opportunity, coaches, harden etc.. for Lin's lack of production for me hating Lin. I dont want Lin traded, i still think he has plenty of upside and has a lot more growth left. Its a lot of his fans that i dont like. You immediately stand out as one of those fans because you constantly blame everyone but Lin for whatever slumps he may have. Most recently you said PG's just underachieve here because of McHale and our organization, and that when Lin leaves he will blossom. So if you want to label me as a Lin "Hater" because i dont like you then go right ahead.
1. If that's how you truly feel, then it let show in your comments going forward. 2. Where have I "constantly" blamed everyone but Lin. I call it like it is even as a Lin fan. He's been struggling with his shot prior to the last few games. He's had some very poor stretches during this season. When I try to put his struggles into context by bringing up minutes/role whatever the case may be, many people take that as excuse making when it isn't.
Actually he is spot on... He did not over exaggerate one bit.... Everything he said is true..... Didn't we establish Canaan should start already? I will change my mind when Lin has 3 games in a row playing well... I don't even mean scoring a lot I mean playing well... You know, not like he usually plays.... Cant wait for Beverley to get back.....
My problem was you blaming lack of opportunity for Lin's struggles and saying that PG's underachieve here and blossom once they leave. Other than that i would say most of the posts I've seen from you have been somewhat reasonable. I just don't like people blaming everyone else for struggles. That goes for Harden and Howard too. Harden is the only person to blame for his turnovers and lack of defense, and Howard is the only person to blame for his lack of post moves and turnovers.
Can you, and people like you just admit that you don't like Lin. This clearly has nothing to do with basketball. Canaan is your new beverly, an "energy" guy whose most recent stat line was something like 5 pts 2-9 3 TOs, eerily similar to the original beverley, whose defining attribute is recording more fouls than points/assists combined. A guy who you prop up just to troll the message board.
The first phrase is true and I don't think that any Lin fans here actually believe that Rox fans are wishing ill on Lin. The second highlighted sentence is hyperbole - I also don't think that Lin fans believe he will be a 'superstar' as you said - but a top 10-15 point guard for sure he is capable of. And in a league stacked with amazing PG's that's pretty darn good in it's own right.
Wow ok, we can agree going forward then. I didn't exclusively blame opportunity or Houston exclusively for Lin and the other PG's struggles. I just thought you were implying that Lowry/Dragic made such a great impression playing for Houston exclusively that they got their new roles, when in fact, there may have been other factors involved. Overall, Lin and every other player needs to be held accountable when they are on the court.
This is the typical drivel by LOF's who are still sour that Bev earned the starting spot and is the better fit with the starters. They just can't digest the fact that Lin has been relegated now to being a bench / role player and rightly so. 1. Show me 3 games where Bev has recorded more fouls than points and assists combined? Nah, just show me one. 2. Bev does much more for this team than the raw box score suggests and this has been stated ad nauseum.
I do like Lin. I don't think Cannon should start or play over Lin. Can you find a single post where I prop up Cannon over Lin and troll? If so please post for all to see. If we had more defensive oriented starters i would actually like Lin to start. But with parsons regressing on D the only true plus defenders in our starting lineup would be Beverley and Howard. Having only one plus defender on the court would be disastrous, even though i agree Lin is a little underrated on D but still not close to Beverley. We have more than enough offense to where we can afford to put a defensive specialist at PG with the current team. Again, don't confuse me hating delusional LOF's (not all LOF's mind you) for hating Lin. If you want to think Im a Lin hater then go for it, buts that's not how i feel.
It seems we can agree then. I definitely don't want Lin to fail just to throw it in LOF's faces (no matter how much i might dislike some of them) and anyone who takes pleasure in doing so is wrong and is cutting off their nose to spite their face.
Another trait in Lin fans that many here find so annoying. Completely downplaying the contributions of Lins competition on the team and acting as if the only reason to like and appreciate what the other guys do for the team is out of hatred for Lin. Beverley HAS been better for this team this year than Lin. Just so I am clear, this does not mean that Beverley is a better player than Lin.
