2 and a half games behind the 3rd seed, blazers 2 and a half games behind us, definitely shoudl rest the starters. plus someone (stern) gave us a 4 in 5 in oour last 2 weeks. always the cot dang 4/5 matchup
Lol if you thought he was really going to rest the starters. Dude doesn't the confidence to do that. Nice try doe, thanks for killing our confidence doe.
He should have done it obviously. Parsons and Harden WILL GET INJURED If he continues to run them into the ground as he always does. Scary though, especially with James...
Glad McHale called Daniels and Covington from D League finals. Resting the starters early with a deficit of 20+ allowed the Vipers to show us what they have learned, and it was more than satisfying. We have the pull-up sharp shooters in the making. The Nuggets have a record of 50-11 against teams on the backend of a B2B, so this was a scheduled loss on my book. Our starters except Lin just had no legs and no air to counter the Nuggets' fast breaks. Great to see that we had 12 threes from Lin, Daniels and Hamilton, to counter Foye and Fournier's 9.
Once homecourt is clinched I would rest the starters for sure. I would play Bev and Howard a few games to get there gas and touch back.
I would imagine once they've clinched the 4th seed. It's not a guarantee at this point. The Rockets need 2 more wins(assuming Portland wins out) and they have 4 games left to do it. And last night was not a good night for the Rockets in their pursuit of the 4th seed. Not just because they lost in Denver, but also because of OKC beating the Clippers which gives L.A. almost nothing to play for(except maybe a better record than Miami and Indiana) in that final game in Portland and might give San Antonio something to play for(namely the #1 seed) in their game against us next Monday depending of course on what happens between the Spurs and the Mavs and Suns over the next few days.
I would have taken the opposite approach and rested starters a couple of weeks ago and given them run in the last 5 games of the season. You want them revved up by the time they hit the playoffs.
