Asik is to good to be a backup, in this league.

So, obviously and unfortunately, we are gonna lose him, he's gone.

Sure is nice to have him as a backup, for now.

Asik and James Harden are the two best power forwards on this team. Asik should be playing 12-15 minutes a game at power forward and Harden should be playing another 12-15 minutes a game at power forward with the remaining 18 to 24 minutes divided up to whomever makes the most sense for whatever matchup we're facing.

Agreed - Asik has more energy, balls and passion than Dwight.

The game being close had NOTHING to do with Asik. He did everything he was suppose to do. It was everyone else that was stinking it up.

Will Asik ask for trade in the off-season? He's a great player would love to keep him as back up Center. 48 minutes of rim protection.

I agree that Asik deserves more than 12 mins per night. He makes better decisions down the stretch and he doesn't take any plays off.

Biggest and best thing about Asik is that he doesn't take away from our offense like Dwight does. Dwight's so inconsistent and unreliable down low, that it's really hit or miss if he's contributing in the flow of the game or disrupting it.

I do agree we should see the TT lineup more.

I'm as big an Asik fan as anyone, but come on. Asik's impact on offense is no where near Howard's. Now if he ever develops good hands and can competently catch a lob, then we can have this discussion.

I think he will definitely want a starting job. The same problem is likely to arise again.

Dwight is the better individual scorer, but I feel that Asik impacts overall team offense more.

Asik does not demand touches, nor does he play back-to-the-basket and slow the game down, contrary to what the offensive philosophy is supposed to be.

He is also MUCH better than Dwight at setting hard, effective screens for our perimeter players.

Our offense is way better with Howard. He demands touches because he's our 2nd best offensive player.
