a thought on college coaches moving to the nba

    i've seen alot of banter about the history of college coaches moving to the nba, and while it's obviously true that most of them have been successful, i've seen no mention of the fact that it hasn't happened since the NBA adopted a zone defense. It seems like it would be an easier adjustment now, however, i'm the first to concede I never played basketball. I just love watching the game.

    Do any of you coach types have any opinions on this?

    oh, two more things:

    1. i thought this an appropriate topic for the rockets game action and roster moves since there is talk of some college coaches being named as the rockets head coach.

    2. it almost seems appropriate to have a college coach come in and coach the rockets. they're barely older than college kids themselves.
