ClutchFans Game Thread: Nuggets @ Rockets 4/6/2014

Huge game. A loss could have been one of those "ruin your season" games, one of those "cost you home court" games. My, my the Rockets were clutch in this one. And what a monster game from Asik. Good grief, his stock is soaring. Parsons with clutch back to back threes. Harden super clutch as usual. Hope T. Jones is O.K., he left and never came back. Lin and Cannon played well, but why do ex Rockets like Brooks go All Star against us instead of for us? Of course an unknown scrub had a career night (Miller). The Denver announcers said it was his best game of the year.

 

An absolute team effort, with Harden leading the charge,

 

Thank God our next opponent is the Lakers. Anyone else and the Rockets wouldn't have a prayer of winning after the energy it took to win this combined with the emotional rollercoaster this game must've been.

 

Asik played like a $15 million Center tonight !!! :grin: I hope Morey doesn't trade him.

You know what is scary (besides him being younger than 25)? I don't think he is trying yet, especially on defense. It really just looks like he is going through the motions right now. The 3 at the end of regulation was pretty effortless.

 

Solid defense by Lin on Brooks in the 4th. A lot of it was because of good ball denial to get it into Brooks hands + two steals when Brooks actually got the ball. Good job by Harden with great help defense from the 4th quarter on.

 

Big mistake trading him.

 

i usually agree with your posts but have you seen canaan? He's already got the beefy raymond felton body, anymore weight and he'd be considered overweight LOL

 

This, dude had a great sequence to end the half and it was Canaan that allowed Brooks to go off.

 

i hope he gets traded to NO for anderesen. he is the perfect fit for our team

Hated the effort by the Rockets for the first 44 minutes, we just didn't show up. But Harden just took it upon himself to win this game and everyone else followed suit.

Harden has been so clutch this season, damn!

dont be surprised if the Rockets are battling back in that game too. Lakes play fast and loose. If Rockets put forth the same effort against the lakers that they did tonight, pray for more late game heroics from Harden again.

 

Honestly, I feel like both Lin and Harden have at LEAST slightly above average defenses if they put effort into it

 

Only 10 points and 5 assists with (phrenchie and miller hitting everything outside) were scored on lin. I guess lin scored19 on an invisible man. Don't know why the matchup v brooks is being brought up. He got pick pocketed Omar little style to help seal the game.

 

He's got a stocky build, but did you see the way he gets leveled on picks? He still needs to add some strength ala Lowry/Nelson. He really isn't strong enough to play through picks yet.

No knock on him, that's typical for rookies and sophomores. He'll get stronger and bulkier (mostly around the legs and core).

 

AB sealed his contract with the Rockets for next season when Lin will be traded.

 

Great win, Asik dominated the rebounds. Harden gets the game tied. Garcia and 2 threes my CP25 was SOOO COLD blooded! Great to see Canaan get a career high. Great win!!
