Please explain how we clinched a playoff spot? Mathematically if we lose out were 50-32. Both Suns and Grizz if they win out can finish 51-31 and we don't have tie breaker on Grizz. One more win or Suns loss will clinch 8th seed. How is everyone, even Morey, missin this?

 

Suns and Grizz probably play each other before the end of the season.

 

They played each other, so they both can not win out.

 

You are right that they play each other but we don't have tie breaker on Grizz. Grizz can lose to Suns and win the other 5 games (50-25) and Suns can still win out (51-31), if we lose 7 straight, which I don't believe will happen, we can still be in the 9th spot (50-32). Mathematically we are not in yet

 

Math & logic are not your strong suit. Tiebreaker rules:
(1) Division leader wins tie from team not leading a division. - Potential draw
(2) Better winning percentage in games against each other. - Draw (2-2 split)
(3) Better winning percentage against teams in own division (only if tied teams are in same division). - Rockets win tie (9-3 in division vs. 3-11 for Memphis)


With all that said, do you really think media outlets, Morey, players, etc. would be posting something like this without knowing with absolute certainty?

Not at playing basketball, I'd whoop him bad. Obviously he's smarter analytically. We do have tie breaker on Memphis so we did clinch, that was all I was mistaken about. Glad some ppl here could clear that up w/o being a dick about it

 

We gotta play better tho if we wanna do damage in the playoffs.
