Why was he standing 5 ft beyond the three point line.. that has nothing to do with not being ready.. it's a lack of awareness. JVG said he wasn't ready to catch and shoot.. but why was he 5 ft beyond the 3pt line?
Good defense tonight by Lin and finding Garcia for the clutch 3. Also so as to not be labeled a LOF... Huge props to Harden for making huge shots down the stretch. Team play won us the game!

If he wasn't that far back that shot would have been blocked. Of all the things to critque that's probably the least of them Lin makes a lot of mistakes. But honestly, I see a big improvement in his game. I don't worry about the missed shots as much. I like what the coaches are having him do. They are making him start a bit further back. Why? Because it creates more space for him to accelerate and drive. His defender isn't going to come out past the 3 point line. I've seen Lin has recently been taking the 3 a few steps further back. I think that will pay off in the long run. You'll notice he circles out now outside the 3 point line. This gives him momentum coming back to the basket, which pushes his defender back a few steps to guard the drive. So he can pull up and get a 3 with more space. It's a good adjustment for him.
No it's not.. It's called supporting a player. I support the team plenty, but that doesn't mean I can't be critical of a player on the team I support. We are fans here.. fans who watch the games and form opinions on what we see, not pom pom toting power dancers, who'll just get up and dance and ignore all poor play we see out on the court.
Harden blew past Fisher with 3 seconds left on the shot clock. Tons of day light in the paint, but for some reason, instead going to basket or pulling up for a mid range jump shot, Harden passed it to Lin.
