They also directed Captain America: Winter Soldier...so maybe they do? Someone said it was okay, I don't pay for 3D anymore.
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/box-office-captain-america-winter-693688 Captain America: The Winter Soldier on pace to break Box Office records in April.
I saw the 3D and can say that it was well done. Added some cool subtleties (like the council holograms), but I'll stop short of saying you need to spend the extra cash.
Went and saw it last night. Everything about this movie kept me on the edge of my seat. The action sequences are the best i've seen in a long time and the plot and dialogue were excellent. It was on par with the Avengers and the best stand alone Marvel movie just ahead of the the original Iron Man IMO.
The piece says it dealt with a lot of issues in the current Zeitgeist. Anyway plots dealing with the Executive branch having a secret kill list in the name of national security are not that rare and have been around for decades. (Clear and Present Danger, Bourne series, a few seasons of 24 and etc.) This is why I said earlier I don't find it particular edgy to do a film focused about government overreach and moral compromise for a man out of the 1940's.
Saw it on Friday, definitely an awesome movie. I liked it better than the first one. A good amount of action with a solid plot. Didn't watch it in 3d though.
Great movie. Spoiler Setting up the stage for Cap's death in Captain America 3 with Bucky taking over the helm(Foreshadowing with the grip of the shield) and Kate Bishop

Spoiler Kate Bishop? Why would they have two Hawkeyes in the film universe? Was she in a storyline in the comics?
Spoiler My bad, meant to say Agent 13 (Sharon Carter). She is the niece of Peggy Carter and his future love interest. Got the names mixed up in the IMDB cast.
Spoiler Oh ok. I thought you knew something that I missed. Yeah I found all that out about Sharon after watching the the movie wondering why they gave her a close up near the end. Also didn't know that Crossbones was in the movie, or the character that becomes Crossbones. Only read him in Daredevil and Deadpool. Also that the main pirate is a actually comic character.
loved the movie. even basso and tj would say, thanks obama, for inspiring a great movie worth the 2 hours. i'm just going to stop judging marvel movies by trailers now. when thor came out, i remember ridiculing it but when i saw i was surprised at how good it was. maybe we can try rebooting ghost rider? i guess realistically making a skull appear to be on fire will take another decade of movie production technology.
One of the few sequels that will be widely considered as superior to the first movie. I'll give it a 7.5/10. Plot wasn't exactly original as already mentioned above and it's not really fun watching a movie where you can correctly predict what's going to happen. By the way, don't even read the IMDB page if you want to avoid spoilers. The casting list already reveals a huge plot twist (if you've read the comics then I guess it's not much of a spoiler).
