Has anybody asked D-Mo his thoughts and feelings on the Ukraine crisis? Just curious, because the guy's from Lithuania, and it's not hard to see Lithuania getting bullied around by Putin & friends much as the Ukraine is. If I had family over there, it would definitely be on my mind.
Terrible things happened over there to Ukraine but there is still Belarus and Latvia between Russia and Lithuania. I don't think Putin is as crazy as people think. On the other hand, if that's the reason why D-Mo has been playing poorly in the past few games, I do feel for him. He is a better player than he shows most of the time, getting into foul trouble all the time when you team clearly needs him to step up big time to fill the void with all the injuries isn't the smartest move.
chuck it to the hangout? i think dmo would be advised to not have any strong views while he is playing in the nba or professional basketball for that matter on global issues and potential cold war 2.0's
Has anyone asked Jeremy Lin about his thoughts on Malaysia Airlines MH370? Has anyone asked James Harden about there being so few black WWE Champions?
4th post in................ Really? It could be affecting him but who knows. He's inconsistent as Jones. The real question is When is Greg Smith coming back?
Has anyone asked Omri Casspi about his thoughts on the holocaust? Has anyone asked Francisco Garcia about El Nino Que Vino Del Mar? hu hu?
Bull mentioned it a few broadcasts ago, but i highly recommend watching "The Other Dream Team" if you are interested in learning a little about basketball in Lithuania. Of course it talks about the 1992 Olympics and Sabonis, but it also goes into the turmoil surrounding the collapse of the USSR and just how significant of a role basketball played during that period. The only thing I didn't like was that they focused on Jonas Valanciunas as the "future" of Lithuanian basketball, but made NO MENTION of DMo even though the doc included scenes from the 2011 NBA Draft. Lame, but whatever... It's available on Netflix!
Slavs pretty much shiiit on each other for the most part. Asking Dmo if he cared would be insulting to him.
Ukraine situation is weird. They clearly rigged the election, but 60% of the Ukraine people are actually Russian. They probably would have voted to be part of Russia anyway.
Russia's Economy is bad. Their leader use this to divert attention. The voting can be manipulated. Funny thing is, most of Russian and China corrupt officials invest to Europe and US. Somehow, it helps the sport industry.
All the neighbors are aware of dangers living next door to Russia. Russia already bit pieces of Moldova and Georgia not so long ago. It bullies it's neighbors routinely. So there is no mind shift for countries which may be involved in this crisis. It's not a news. Although it is a news for the West apparently. As a member of EU and NATO Lithuania always had a reputation of a little sister who squeal a lot then the matters concern Russia's economical or political moves in Europe.
