Whatever homes, they know Beas is a fixture in Klinsmann's side by now but they could have released Orozco Fis. They have 2 US players. A compromise couldn't have been reached to just release one? The one that needed this game IMMENSELY to show that he is the best option to be backup to the two starting CB's and go to the WC. Also the timing was $hit by Puebla. They could have let Klinsmann know this LAST WEEK! No bueno.
No. I agree with you. Both should have the best players, and Beasley is definitely Beasting in Mexico. So are Torres and Orozco Fiscal. I am saying the U.S. coach should understand, and I also believe both teams should field their best. It's contradictory in some sense, but I think it is an understanding that will never come.

I'm going to start a thread on this topic on Bigsoccer perhaps tomorrow but I feel like discussing it on here as well. The level of disrespect Klinsmann has thrown and is still throwing at Landon Donovan is STAGGERING to me! Absolutely ridiculous. I can understand Klinsmann deciding not to start him tonight. I can understand wanting to give Wondolowski more minutes. But when the manager decides to criticize the best player a nation has ever produced. One of the best players on the team (and a player whom I feel any other coach would say is part of their core-except Klinsmann in this case). Saying "Landon didn't look sharp in training" and so that's why he chose to start Wondo is utter disrespect. Are US fans supposed to believe Clint and Jozy have looked sharp in EVERY training session under Jurgen's reign? Are footy fans to believe that the best players in every national team look their sharpest in training sessions prior to friendly matches?? All Klinsmann had to say was "I know what I have in Landon and I want to see a bit more from Wondolowski in this situation". Simple. Even then it still is debatable if that is the best decision because wouldn't it be a smart idea to start your three best outfield players-Landon, Clint and Bradley, together for the first time in AGES! To get a look at them prior to the remaining friendlies in May. Nonetheless, going back to the bull$hit decision to make Landon basically wait for a call up after his sabbatical-(not calling him up for the friendlies and WCQs priot to the Gold Cup), It is w/o a doubt obvious that certain players have shorter and longer leashes with Klinsmann. Dempsey and Jozy have leashes as long as Klinsmann chooses to stretch it while Donovan is on a short leash. Which is disrespectful imo for a player that will go down in history when he retires as the best the country has ever produced. /rant over.
