Please watch this short vine video and say who kicks the ball: - The player who is sliding on the ground (dark blue jersey) or - The player who cocks his head back and falls (red jersey) Who is the one who propels the ball in its direction? Thanks for your vote.
I'm seeing it as the blue guy kicking it with a deflection off Rooney's foot. Otherwise the velocity would not be right.
Here is a different video: <iframe src="http://gfycat.com/iframe/VainSerpentineKingfisher" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" width="624" height="352" ></iframe>
uh... red guy kicked it with his toe before touching the ground. guy sliding - his foot is moving a different direction than the way the ball goes. the front camera angle shows it clearly. the back angle just makes it look like the other way.
Actually they might both hit it at the same time. Saw this on my phone so I took some pictures. I have two frames --- before and after the kick. It's pretty close.
The throwing head back flop form by the masters. Cannot believe the NBA allowed this crap to infest basketball. Pathetic.
If the OP is a Bayern fan, why are you worried about not having Schweinsteiger anyways? You guys will destroy Man U in Munich regardless.
From what I can tell, whatever it may be, the point seems to be to fall onto the ground. I think they are moving the ball out of the way so that there's more room to fall flailing to the turf. Maybe it's more performance art than sport?
