Or, a lot of police are bad. And things like this hold them accountable, at least the ones that are power hungry and unqualified. The public should know that cops are not always put there to help people and that there are other "heroes" to look up to. Shielding them from reality is just DUMB
Completely agree, there are too many instances where cops take advantage of their "power". The process of becoming a policeman is not difficult and typically allow bully personalities. The first and foremost job of a cop is to protect and serve not make tax paying citizens submit to their will. While there are good cops, my experience with them which is significant is not positive. I have 4 friends that are officers and only one of them does it for the right reasons, the others hide behind their badge as an excuse to get away with crime in essence.
Your argument is based on a fairyland fantasy you have of Police. Just like in government. There is abuse and corruption. The behavior continues because there are no real punishments. Next thing you'll tell me is they shouldn't arrest teachers who have sex with students?
Wow I HIGHLY doubt that. Maybe several generations ago police were folks worthy of being revered as heroes and maybe generations ago young folks looked up to well anyone as heroes. Seriously question that that is the case today. Honestly it would make for an interesting poll for different age groups and other demographics.
I'm not saying this to insult those of us on these boards, because clearly this is a place for sports-fans to congregate, but sports don't exactly have a rich history of attracting level-headed and emotionally intelligent people.
Would be surprised if he gets more than a slap on the wrist...even with the viral video. Imagine if there was no video evidence lol
Public sentiment is changing. That wasn't a riot. However, the behavior of the police in this instance will end up being what causes a riot in the future.
What a F****ng Coward. They need to throw his ass in prison in general population with COP tattooed on his forehead.(which would never ever happen) I'm so damn tired of our justice system. A judge rapes his 3 year old daughter and gets 8 years probation. Cops can ktfo of an innocent girl and get a slap on the wrist only because he was caught on video. But God forbid you get caught with more than a few ounces of mar1juana and you go to TDC with murderers and rapists.
I take it there aren't any NCAA fans on ClutchFans. I don't blame you if you haven't been watching this season, but this is probably why they were hanging around afterwards trying to call attention to the game. http://ftw.usatoday.com/2014/03/arizona-wisconsin-charge-referees-ncaa-tournament/ <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/SDUBJDrsAyo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> I didn't see anyone here post about KC getting cheated out a Superbowl appearance either. I guess the media was too busy making news out of some hot head talking smack during a post-game interview. There was a lot of talk (mostly gamblers and KC fans saying it was rigged). I didn't think it was that bad to be honest. I thought the refs were funny when they put the ball down 2 yards ahead so calmly. The YouTube comments are pretty stupid. Click on anyone defending the Seahawks and they have a bunch of likes on uploaded Seahawks highlights. Nobody expected them to come out on top (except me ). <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/NEp4r2q9tTA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> If only there were a sport that wasn't ruined by Vegas lines.
yea saw that... it looked like a crap call... did the refs video review it? it shld either have been a blocking D foul or let the play continue
Here's a vertical video filmed with a potato but also involves a drunk dude on a scooter. Worse angle of the guy but you can clearly see the paintball markers the cops are using. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/6g4OtZPfVAY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Similar to that original video but with an odd british commentary: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/HCKPnLv9GzE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> That bro in the Texas shorts really just cracks me up with how he acts.
I will agree that bad call was more than likely the seed that caused the kids to get angry...and it was a ridiculous call that got my riled up. With that being said, AZ still had the ball at the end of the game with a chance to win it and they ran a terrible play with Nick not even able to get a shot off in time. They played stupid and deserved to lose, even though they probably are the better team on most nights. The most frustrating part of Zona's season is that I think they easily stroll into the championship position had Ashley never got hurt. Then again, i'm an wildcat so i'm slightly bias.
The police work for you - you pay their salary - everything they do should be filmed, they should be held accountable for their actions as public servants. You want heroes and leaders, take the next street over to the Fire Department - that is where the heroes reside. DD
Repped for posting different version. The expression on his face is priceless. He is truly feeling no pain, even as those pellets are beaning him right in the middle of his beer-belly. And how did he end up in those Texas boxers anyway? Where did his pants go? What exactly compelled him to take them off? What I wouldn't give to be young and stupid again...just for a day.
You're a COP, Kenny? Why? I don't know, man. Had nothing better to do...it was time for me to grow up, you know? Plus, I wasn't making **** at that fish market. No one knew who I was, I couldn't get laid. Yeah, it's a much better situation for me now. People really listen to you, you know? I mean... [suddenly pulls out gun] Kenny: They HAVE to!
