Realistically... when do you see houston winning it all?

Harden wanting to start doesn't mean he wasn't willing to share the ball.. Harden has always been a willing passer.

 

Power Forward is the Rockets biggest weakness. Unless they find someone who can shore up the frontline, they will never be contenders.

Am I the only one here that doesn't want another superstar to essentially become another Miami Heat? We'll be championship caliber when we can execute more consistently, unlike the Clippers game.

 

I love the Rockets and am always hoping desperately for a championship.

But I am soooo used to disappointment with this team that I don't know if we'll ever win a championship. I really really hope I am wrong about that.

 

We will be in the mix next season. We have witnessed a lot of growth from the beginning of the season. Our chemistry still needs polishing against the elite teams like the Thunder and Clippers. Once we are able to compete with them on both sides of the ball. We will be ready for the level and then hopefully a championship.

I'm with you. I feel exactly as you do.

It's like once we get really good, someone will get hurt or a key player will start to get nagging injuries transforming them into a Yao or TMAC. I worry about this with D12---say we are on track to win a championship in 2 yrs - will D12 be healthy deep into the playoffs? This kind of stuff worries me more than solving a point guard or pwr forward problem.

 

Next year with melo and the next 5 years with Melo Durant, KLove

 

I don't understand why people are thinking about championships when we can't even beat the Thunders or Clippers in 7 game playoff series.

 

1. You don't know that for sure. Just like the Spurs could beat the rox despite our ownage of them this season.

2. That is what you hope for (most) every year. Hope for favorable matchups, adjustments, momentum, heart, passion, luck and advancing deeper in the postseason.

3. I don't understand how people could NOT think about championships for their team

If the stars aligned, we are winning it all this year, assuming we are reasonably healthy.

 

I think that the rockets can win it all. If they don't - so what. Things happen (remember the Spurs last season). I also give full credit to McHale for the Rockets playing the team way above what the roster actually should based on any basketball analyticis. I'm not really interested in players like Melo, Love etc. The only players I would really love to have on this roster are Durant and Bosh. Even one of them would create a dynasty that would be extremely difficult to beat.

 

Next season, when Asik and Lin both are on expiring contracts - somehow players on expiring contracts excel (probably trying to showcase themselves to get the next deal).

This time round we are just one piece shy of contending for the championship. Trust Morey to bring in the right piece during the off-season.
