Efficiency is the difference. 10 pts isn't just 10 pts. Monta can tell you that.

You really think scoring 10 points on 5-10 shooting is the same as 5-22?
    That's 12 more empty possessions.

Improvement in tax bracket, sure, but not as a ball player.

He had 9 shots tonight and scored 10 pts. Please show me how that is 5 for 22? If the can score 40 points and shot 1 for 20, that is still pretty good no? Why would you care? He scored more than 1 pt per shot attempt.

Sure, but didn't the team also made the playoff last year with him as a starter?

40 points on 1-20? Nice. Hell, why not challenge Wilt and make it 100.

It took Lin 9 shots and 8ft to get 10 points. That equates to a TS% of 39.9%. League average is around 53-54%

Didn't Harden have a night where he shot poorly and still made 30+ pts mostly from FT? Did you see anyone complain about him that night?

Yep, clearly showed how Lin sucked statistically. How can we get his scrub as off our team before the playoffs? Can't we just pay him out and start Harden and Canaan at the PG?

Didn't Harden have one of those nights not too long ago? Can you please point me to the post in that game where you were complaining about his inablity to score?

I'm guessing you're talking about the game against Memphis after Christmas.
Harden was 2-9 with 27 points and we won.
If Lin was 1-9 with 27 points tonight, we would have won, and most would not be complaining about him either.

Harden was 2-9, and 22-25 ft, for 27 pts and TS% of 67.5%, which is better than what Lebron and Durant average.

So winning fixes all the problems regardless of plays? Then how come Lin's TO is such a problem when the team was winning?

This is just non sense. Don't get me wrong, by no mean did Lin had a good shooting night, but with his usage, he could have scored about 15 pts. The 5 point difference was not going to win the game. It was a lost regardless.

Why do ppl still argue about Lin being underrated or whatever.. the fact that this is a question and he's one of the most non-play related hyped players in the world makes it an obvious observation that he's just not that good....

Maybe if the ref gave Lin 25 ft, he could have gone 1-9 and 25 for 25. The two player's usage and treatment by the ref is completely different so it really isn't comparable.

You seem to be wrapped up on math so why don't you understand the concept of efficiency?

It also isn't really comparable because one of them is a superstar talent while the other is a league average starter at best.

Really? If they're not comparable, why are you comparing them?

40% TS is bad but everyone including Harden has off nights. It is not like he shot 1-8 for 4 pts
