He is paid the MAX. You should expect defense and offense from guys like that no? Is it ok if he scores 30 but gives up 32 pts? Chris Paul, played both offense and defense (as well as getting some Star calls from the ref)

You want the ring? Stop giving excuses for your MAX player defensive's problem and have him work on it. The team out there in the playoff have super stars and they play can score 30 and not give up 32 points.

Why people just put this lost on Lin? He did not play well but I think that with Bev playing we still would have lost the game.

We also had to notice that TJones tends to disappear when playing teams with above average PF that are good around the ring. TJones usually makes his plays when nobody is around the basket but unfortunately that does not happen with good teams. Actually when we see this, DMo has played better than TJones but today he did not have a good game either.
Harden as usual played well in offense but terrible with turnovers and not that good in defense.
Parson played well but we need him to start hitting the 3 again.
Asik is still getting in shape and is not playing that well.
Garcia is not hitting a high percentage from the 3, thus he is a waste. Same as the other shooters.
Hamilton also has cooled down and seems like he is in McHale dog house.

So Harden is the one who you guys have decided to deflect onto? Probably not the smartest choice. Try going after Jones or something. Maybe throw a couple potshots at Canaan.

Harden is probably worth that contract according to his scoring prowess. But as a "Super star" he should be a better defender. It's better not start attack Harden here as the culprit. It was a team issue and it starts with McHale all the way to the front office for picking a team that will have a tough fight against the top two western conference teams IMO.

based on the new CBA. players are probably worth 30 Million or more per year if you name is Lebron, KD, or Harden. So Harden is probably a steal at this point

 

I still very much wonder what the asking price for Rondo was.

 

So just after a great game, TJONES stinks big one, in a game that Griffin hardly play. Smh...

 

TJones has not had a good game against teams like the clippens, San Antonio, trail blazers, Dallas, Miami, Minnesota. All of those teams have above average PFs.

 

tjones has had some real good games v. SA this year.

but he can't defend any legit all star pf, yea.

Right now, there are zero expectations for Lin for the playoffs. Zilch, nada, 0.

 

Hardened regressed back to the chucker that chucked the Rox out of the PlayOffs at the end there ironically when the team was much like the it was last year lol. Lin and Asik need to be gone this summer...

 

The term max player is such a relative term. It's not the same for all players. Harden, at 24 years old, defensive deficiencies and all is WELL worth his current deal.

And please Harden was not guarding Paul all game. I understand you dislike people jumping all over your guy over a bad game, but going after Harden in retaliation just makes you look dumb. You know what he's done for this team all season.

 

We need to avoid the Clips at all cost in the PO's. Bad matchup.

And OKC obviously.

 

Parsons on Chris Paul was a huge mismatch. I'm not sure why McHale gave Chandler that defensive assignment.

We could have used this win to bolster our confidence with two starters out. I can't help but feel disappointed.

 

I really didn't have a problem with his shot selection tonight.
That last leaner was a lil suspect but he was trying to provide a spark.
We really need Rondo or a better quality point guard to start.
I'm a fan of Beverley and what he brings, but he's a 2nd unit player.

Harden has 6 Assists.

After 1stQ, he has ZERO assist. ZERO.

 

It was the lack of depth that killed us tonight. At the start of the fourth, Rockets were down by 4. When our starters were put back in, the Clippers were up 11. Our starters were unable to get past that 7 point deficit given up by our thin bench in the fourth. The starters did manage to close that 4 point hole they dug, several times in the fourth.

 

Harden and Rockets are good, but the gap between good and champion is quite big. You can feel it when the champion team start to work as a whole unit offensively and defensively in the final few minutes of the game. Even CP3 and Durant failed to be qualified as players at that level. Even Clippers and OKC can't be treated as champion candidates at this moment. Only Spurs can be treated as capable to win the championship this year from the West.
