The team is losing but they are still shooting well. We need more shooters here. They could get playing time here now with Casspi and Garcia barely playing.
lol neither is starting material. id rather have lin start tho for his size and experience. dont know how canaan would do against the westbrooks and lillard pgs
It turns into one of the following: 1. McHale sucks. 2. Harden doesn't defend 3. Irrational anger at some miscellaneous player (Canaan)
you need to tell yourself that dude. it'll help you if want to agree to disagree thats fine. But honestly, i'm smiling at this point. you can enjoy the miraculous passing of Bev or Harding to infinity, be my guess. I'll enjoy the no look, alley ooops, bounce basses, skip passes, touch down passes. Okay, i'm waiting in excitement to see who on the rockets can do that other than Lin?
I'd be happy with a mugsy bouges. His career stats are 7 points, 7 assist, 2.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals on 46% with only 1.6 turnovers. That being said, Canaan is 9 inches taller, has 50 pounds on him, and has a completely different game.
Wasn't it just a few weeks ago that people were running through the streets screaming, "Lin is Back!!!! Thank god for Lin!!!!" One great game(good/decent game for a superstar) and Lin fans have a freakin orgasm...and then they disappear during the next 5-6 ok/dull games and completely vanish when he simply stinks up the joint like he did today. He has just as many crappy games as he has great(by lin standards) games. I've said it before, we're a great team when he can play well, but he doesn't play well enough or consistently enough for him to be a piece on a championship team...either way this bbs will be better when all his fans crawl over to another board and whine about their coach not doing everything in his power to make sure Lin looks as good as possible...LOFs sound like bitter parents who are mad b/c their crappy kid isn't being played enough by the coach when everyone else can easily see your kid just isn't as good as the other players.
1. McHale's Bad Coaching. Parsons gave Cp3 a 30+12. First 3mins in 4Q rested Lin+Harden+Asik together. 2. Cannon can start? I don't think so. His D is not good. +/- -7 4TO within 20mins. He may be a bigger TO prone than Harden/Lin. 3. Bad luck. The team need more time to figure out how to play without Howard and Bev.'s.
No kidding... it is a vicious cycle. Now the LOHs and LOFHs (lin only fan haters) come out of their caves while the LOFs return to their caves. Rinse... repeat...
There was no risk, because it was always a bust. I wanted Lin to work out because I'm a Rockets fan, but anybody with a half a brain knew it was a ridiculously, terrible contract. So again, don't stray this time...why do the Rockets, in particular, need to risk 7 mil on a role player at the PG position from purely a basketball standpoint? Especially when we were chasing star FA's. It never made sense. In Asik's case, quality centers get paid because of the shortage. We needed him to be a good enough team to attract Howard. In Lin's case, it was the complete opposite. You can't blame stupidity simply on risk. Morey's been too good of a GM for this to have been his idea. I certainly don't think his numbers would allow him to tell Lin he was the savior of Houston basketball. If it walks like a duck, and talks like a duck, then it's a duck. We're fans, and it's about bottom lines. Obviously I'm not going to waste my time pulling up number like my work is press related. There's no need, and been there done that as well. Do I need to show you a receipt that the guy buys toilet paper for you to believe it? Lol. And we were global at one point, specifically because of Yao. Immediately after his last injury, and it was well known he was done, support dissipated quickly. Jeremy boosted it again, and I'm grateful for it. But, at the end of the day, I don't get any of that extra money. I want a ring over new fans.
LOL...the Rockets have never beaten the Clip with Bev, now everyone's up in arms cause they lost without him and D12 and Lin had a bad game? Bev can play well 50% of the time, and people around here would love it. Lin can play well 50% of the time and people would just be upset he's only getting the job done half the time. Getting tiring, same cycle, next great Lin game next week and we'll swing the other way.
he doesn't know how to combat their athleticism and physical d. moreso than being mentally weak, i think it has to do with the limitations in his game that he needs to desperately improve on. i think if his ball handling was better, he'd be more consistent. it's the same thing v. the grizzlies. he just can't handle that physicality which is concerning. to be slightly fair, our whole team seems struggle against em, since we're 0-7 after all. not excusing lin of course, he's a big part of the problem. cuz being mentally weak wouldn't explain the 2 games he's had v. the spurs this year, shutting down parker and playing efficient on offense. plus the 18 or so points filling in for harden with a huge bank shot towards the end of the game. he had big games v. the warriors last year. he had a huge game v. portland this season. iono just trying to decipher it.
start Canaan!?!? LOL, it was a 4 pt game when Lin left in the 3rd. By the time he came back they were down 11.
You don't think losing our starting PG made Lin's expectations come to a forefront again? Before, he was just another backup. Now, we need him to be something he's not. That's kind of a big deal. The loss tonight is in no way all Lin's fault. Goes without saying of course, but, nonetheless, Lin's been way too inconsistent long before tonight.
