    This is a disaster.

Lin is a huge liability offensively and we are going to play elite pg s in just about any playoff scenario.

Honestly, not a bad idea since he'd be playing with Harden/Howard anyways. Just play Lin off the bench for more starter-type minutes.

And then watch out for that Canaan-Lin lineup.

It may sound crazy, but right now our best hope in the playoff actually could be Garcia.

If Lin will be coming out, let Harden to be your PG and sub Garcia in as a 3 pt spot up shooter, at this stage, it will be much effective than whatever Cannan / lin or harden combo.

A really huge blow with Bev going down. Our guard defense was average at best and now its going to be hard. Jeremy has to show us insanity wasn't a fluke for us to succeed. I think he can.

    F***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Need Canaan to pull his '09 Brooks impression.. only less offense and more D. Lin can't be trusted to step up defensively.

So will McHale start Canaan alongside with the main unit just to keep the bench intact? From what I've seen so far this season (about 2 games with him), Canaan doesn't seem ready to run the 2nd unit yet.

Or Morey could sign someone to a quick contract as a bandaid option I suppose.

Some people make a very good point though, its not like Beverley locked down the elite PGs in the west...Dragic put up 34 against him, Westbrook made him look like a fool, he did a decent job on Curry, and Lin can gaurd Lilliard.

I'm not that worried. But this news still does suck though.

Everyone seemed worried about Lin, but I am more worried about Canaan.

Having barely played the whole year and now having to facilitate a somewhat weak bench in the playoffs is not gonna be pretty.

The only thing left for Barron Davis is his beard.

Was about to comment on the exact same thing. No one here is happy about the injury, if anything, the anti-lins are posting even more negative comments.

This sucks! Even if he comes back for the playoffs, will he be the same? Will he play with reckless abandon? I doubt it.

I am not a Doctor either, but this is how I understand it.

When it tears, you can shave it down - or remove the piece that is folding under and causing pain, then once the swelling goes away you can get back to playing.

However, you only have so much cartlidge and the meniscus will not grow back, so it can cause chronic pain later as your knee deteriorates and can end up bone on bone.

If you repair the meniscus, you sew it back together and let it heal.....takes months - but it is a much better overall fix.

That is how I understand it, but I could be wrong.
