just wondering after the last few incidents who would you give the ball to with a few seconds left on the shot clock. mobley who we've seen make a few shots but dribble the ball away at times as well and then with a miracle moochie got moochie to shoot it home.... or francis which i forgot ever seeing him make the last shot... moochie? anderson? hakeem? seriously who does the ball go to at the very very last second.....? don't know if we really have anyone that we can depend on like we used to with a young hakeem... ------------------ "Wahooo"-homer I'm not only a fan but I'm also the bartender at clutchcity chat For the last time I'm not Tybrave!!!!!
The Rockets should give the ball to Custevo Olajanmooch. ------------------ "Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning how to put food on their family while being put to death."

ZRB - Respectfully disagree. I think the ball should be in the hands of Shanmo "Boar" Thomabull. ------------------ GATER
Of course the question is a good one. I think we should rule out Moochie. That shot last week was simply luck. If the team we're playing has a weak frontline, let Hakeem go to work. Otherwise, let Steve try to make something happen for himself or a teammate. If Steve is having an off night, give it to Cuttino. Problem is, Cuttino always shoots jumpers in the clutch. The number one option should be Steve driving to the hoop and creating a shot for another teammate, like he did with Hakeem in the Denver OT game. Still, the Dream is a clutch player... God that is a tough question... ------------------ "Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning how to put food on their family while being put to death." cat should get the last shot in most cases. he has proved that since his first NBA game. strev should be our man when we need a half court heve. hell he shoots them for bets with people aparently all the time. the pass to the low post is ideal, but i dont really trust any of the big guys enough. I might risk one to KT. he just seems like he could will one in. Just my opinion though ------------------ Hanta-Force Paintball http://www.hanta-force.com
I didn't realize everyone was regarding this thread as a life or death commentary. I didn't take it all that seriously b/c who has the ball or takes the last shot is about 80% determined by what the defense does. I don't think 35 foot 3's by Moochie are a planned event - they are the result of a Posey and Del Negro double team on Cat. If ya'all were coaching the Rockets, I'd know where to put my best defender and where my double was coming from. ------------------ GATER
actually we've tried giving cat the ball at the last second.... he made one at golden state i remember but the last two games have cost us big. heck we even gave him the ball during the first playoff game against the lakers and we saw that he got blocked by shaq.... he practically dribbled the ball away during the warriors game and it was a prayer answered from moochie that actually gave us that win... if not we would have headed to over time and lord knows what would have happened in over time....my opinion is if y'all don't think steve can do it or mobes can do it yet then give it back to dream. First of all he should be out there anyways.... what the living bejesus is he doing on the bench.... that's extremely disrespectful in my opinion. well we better figure this out soon because it seems like we're going to be headed for a clutch game sometime this season and we should at least be prepared. So far we've all praised Cat for his ability to create a shot but during the last few clutch times when we've needed him to create that so called shot he's either thrown prayers or dribbled the ball around.... i really do expect more from a 3rd year vet.... i still question why anderson is not out there at clutch. his shot was reliable in utah... the boy has even shot us a few times during the utah series a few years back. the man would come in and pack a few 3's into us killing our hopes of ever returning or doing anything... well in the words of that villan in speed "Pop quiz @$$ hole".... so who do you give the ball to....? ------------------ "Wahooo"-homer I'm not only a fan but I'm also the bartender at clutchcity chat For the last time I'm not Tybrave!!!!!
