Kudos to the creators of Oculus Rift. Massive payday. To everyone getting pissed on KickStarter and Reddit. LOL. They have no obligation to cater to you. As far as I'm concerned, at least Oculus Rift is still being developed, albeit from a social networking company. It sucks, but people have to realize how fragile Kickstarter projects are and this is one of those events that will help bring attention to that.
Based on PER here are 5 best players: James Harden, SG Dwight Howard, C Terrence Jones, PF Chandler Parsons, SF Jeremy Lin, PG Obviously Asik has played so little his numbers are kind of meaningless. I would say he is one of the 5 best players. So It between him and Lin I would think.
Oh, they clearly have to do it/something. My problem is with the constant harping on the "open and connected world" mission statement... as if they're providing some kind of charitable service.
This reminds me of the movie WALL-E....how everyone in the spaceship is straped to a hovercraft glued to the screen, fat, and undeveloped. Its going that direction soon lol.
I think Apple's strategy is more about creating good design synergies with their hardware and software. What that means is that they make products that anyone would know flat out is an Apple product, love it or hate it. So the companies they buy up are more the underlying tech/services (patents, Siri, maps) rather than a finished product to sell. FB and Google are following the traditional MS playbook: merge/buy out/take over...else, utterly outspend and claw for marketshare. Maybe without Jobs, Apple will start fall into that buying frenzy after half of their 10> hard product lines falter, but they're still insanely profitable with just a few great, highly recognizable products, that adding more companies would probably dilute their margins rather than improve them.
Facebook be damned I went ahead and got the Dev Kit 2 on order. I'm excited about it. I hope it's not just Facebook feeds. lol
