Lin got a great opportunity in NY but it looks like his handles have overall gotten worst as well as his shot. Granted the ball was in his hands for the longest stretch in NY, you compare the 2 Lins and it's like he took a step back in terms of everything from B-Ball IQ to ball handling and shooting. Of course he's on the scouting report now but there are but the other Rockets targets like Harden, Parsons, and Beverly should easily make up for that aspect.

Um...his shooting is better now. If you look at the overall percentage its low cos of that period he was injured but his shooting has improved.

Anyway, he plays more as a SG in this team. Even if he isn't a top PG as an SG he is okay.

In NY he gets multiple picks in one possession, he gets one pick out of multiple possessions here. The system is different, and he excels at using picks to get separation and create offense.

The guy's only 25 yrs old and still learning the in-and-outs of the game. Players don't usually reach their peak till around age 30.

Please. Stop. When players hit 30, that's when things start turning downhill.

6 years from now lin fans will say he's only 31 and his coach is racist and does not trust him.

I'm a Lin fan but come on be realistic. Lins peak is a solid player/contributor. He will never be a superstar pg like Parker Nash or Kidd. Be smart. And players peak are usually from 27-30. After that it's down hill

Yes because predicting how our market economy will fluctuate is easier than relying on Jeremy Lin to be consistent.

Cool, and if Jeremy Lin didn't have an Obama like anchor weighing down the US economy the way Mchale does to Lin, he'd be a blue chip stock

    this season,

    when Harden is ON, Lin's TS=53.9% usg=19.3%
when Harden is off (including absent), Lin's TS=60.5% usg=24.1%

How can a person say that Jeremy is already over hill is beyond me.

I was just checking Nash and Parker's first four years in the NBA. they get a better role in a team yet their numbers are comparable to jlin. They didn't start out Nash avg 14p/9a and Parker 17pt/6a

After seeing 4 years of Nash and Parker who would say that they can't improve?

With time, talent and hard work jlin can still vastly improve.

Does jlin have time, talent and hardwork? Year to year his game overall has improved and consistency is just part of what he needs to work on.

Considering the rockets team themselves have general consistency issues, I believe he deserves the same treatment as the other inconsistent rocket players - parson, tj ones, Garcia, caspi Hamilton that's pretty much half of the rockets players. Give jlin some slack.

There too many players with both more or less talent in the NBA after 4 years are still improving.

What makes Jeremy the exception to these statistics? Because he's asian? Inconsistent?

Anyone here willing to bet that his final career avg will be lower that this years avg 13pt/5a

And if anyone believes he is a poor player and can never improve then why have expectations of him needing to be a better player by criticizing him to no end.

It's too early to derive a conclusion on someone's career 4 years into the nba.

So true. Nobody has ever peaked at age 30. This guy has no idea what he's talking about. Most peak at like 23/24. I can't recall a single player that peaked at 30 and I've been studying the game and reading books about it for like 5 decades. You can say that I'm a "true student" of the game.
