Good value for needed depth at the position.

    Good depth.

I'd be shocked if Manning was released...would make no sense at this point bc we dont really need the cap space to sign anyone. It will buy us another year to figure out his replacement.

Take that Denver! How you like Thunder Lewis playing spy, looking in your eyes Tommy boy! Here's hoping he outplays his contract but he's probably just another log to get roasted on that pathetic secondary LoL.

Can't see the downside here given the contract, but my god, is this dude slow. A free safety that runs 4.73? I think that's what Alden Smith ran. And I thought Keo was too slow. Solid depth signing, I'd be shocked if it was anything more.

Well, people have said that he was the Chiefs version of Shiloh Keo and Keo ran a 4.75.

The other team I follow closely is KC and the news of this signing hurt a bit. Lewis was a somewhat competent safety before some shoulder injuries and is pretty much lost in coverage.

I would rather have kendrick perkins at safety, but for now, some training camp fodder is good. We really need manning to be healthy and Swagman to make a significant jump. But it's all for not if we can't apply pressure from all angles.

Yeah I heard something similar from some Chiefs fans, at least it's a somewhat small contract, he could just be intended as depth.

I'd expect to see him playing on Special Teams.
