I hate Pepsi. So if they name the arena after Pepsi, should I boycott the Rockets? BTW, maybe someone should do a Coke vs. Pepsi poll in the Hangout.
Hmmmm...don't think that Pepsi will get the naming rights... http://www.pepsicenter.com/ I think Coca Cola would be a good company to get the naming rights...That way, we can hold up "Pepsi Sucks!" signs when the Nuggets come to town...
That's always been my understanding... and why the "real thing" doesn't taste like the real thing any longer. ROckets03, I've never tried ThumsUp from India. They probably didn't have it years (and years!) ago when I was there or we would have had it for sure. (I'll have to look for some here in Austin!) My Dad was a 6.5 ounce guy his whole life... wouldn't drink any other sized Cokes. Ah, the memories... Oh, Yao... you need to open your mind... put a frosty bottle against your forehead for a moment and then slug that puppy down. Glass bottles are best and the Mexican Cokes are tops. (at least until I try the Indian )
Well, I think this thread has derailed enough... Has anybody ever tried Chubbie Soda? It comes in these really small 8 oz. bottles and comes in weird flavors like banana, cotton candy, and bubble gum... Pretty good stuff...
I'm not gonna comment anything regarding which cola is better cuz y'all have your own opinions. I'll just clarify some situations here. Yes, Pepsi owns rights to Yao and Coke does not. The reason for Yao's selection of Pepsi is because his home town, Shanghai, is a Pepsi city. Now, if Coke marketed Yao on their ads/bottles/commercials, IT IS an infringement of Yao's rights. However, even prior to Pepsi's contract with Yao, the Chinese NT signed a contract with Coke, in which Coke has the right to market any player on the team as long as they don't only market an individual alone. In this case I think they put Yao, Bateer and can't remember who else on the bottle. To be honest, I think this whole court battle is blown out by Team Yao (money) and not actually by Yao himself. But I think in this case Yao won't win against Coke in a court of law. However, as the saying goes, there's no such thing as bad publicity.
A-Train! I thought it was understood... Coca-Cola Arena or (whatever) would be far superior to naming it after a furniture store chain. That's where we're coming from!
Regarding the law, surely Yao will win. I think it's first time that any national team in China has sold its image right of more than 3 persons. Why > 3guys instead of 5 guys. I don't think a similar image case ever happened in NBA. There must be some conspiracy of Coca. This case will have profound effect in the ads right of national teams in Chinese sports. The win of Yao will benifit all the athletes in China.
Ummmmm, try these: http://www.americanairlinescenter.com/ http://www.aaarena.com/ Can't you do that anyway! "Hey Yao.....Pepsi SUCKS!!!"
No matter what Yao do, I'm not going to drink Coca Cola except maybe in McDonalds. I like Pepsi better. Every time after I drank some Coke, I felt more thirsty and it tastes bad. McDoanld's Coke is better because they add water to Coke.
Coke is so freaking good, i could never stop drinking it. i hope yao doesnt endorse the evil empire pepsi. heck, yao should start his own cola company. Yao's Special Sauce. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I drink Sprite only. Coke everynow and then, Dr P everynow and then. Pepsi hardly. I drink Mt Dew before I drink Pepsi.
I'd drink a Diet Coke over any pepsi product if given the choice, and I don't like Diet Coke. Pepsi smells like urine. Drink a Sprite Remix if you want to know what taste is, not that mountian dew code gay and extreme orange sugar
