One of the explosians in Casablanca targeted the Belgium consulate and a recent message from Al Quaeda called on Muslims to "Attack the missions of the United States, the U.K. , Australia and Norway..." . Okay. I get the U.S., Britain and Australia as they (we) were all part of the "Coalition of the Willing" but why Belgian and Norway? Wasn't Belgium one of the countries that opposed the war in Iraq?
Like most extremists, Al-Quaeda is overestimating themselves. They are going to create a backlast of hostility against themselves. Punishing Belgium and Norway...
Well, I don't think it has anything to do with the war against Iraq. Saddam was an infidel anyway. Even so, you're right that they are strange targets.
Unless Belgium and Norway are some sort of code for something? It's plausible, but most likely not probable.
I am from Norway, and they say that because we have been involved in the war against terror in Afghanistan, we are hatet by Saddams right hand man. Because we participated in bombing Afghanistan, and his family was killed in that war... And since we participated in those attack, he blames us. But the experts still find it wierd that Norway is mentioned....

One of the points I was trying to make with my initial post was that it really doesn't matter how much or how little you do in the "war against terrorism" - if you can be used to rally the troops you are a target. If we do nothing, they hate us, if we fight back they hate us. And it's not really "us" they hate. We are just a convenient foil used by a few megalomaniacs to rally their troops against and keep power.
If wish these people could just be stepped on like the scum that they are. What is the point of taking anger out on other people. We didn't do anything to start this terror, why do you have to pick us to bomb? We know you are jealous, but that's no reason to take cheapshots on us. I would gladly kill as many of these roaches as I could. I would be happy to. It would not phase me because I have no remorse for them because they are not even human in my book. Whenever we catch Osama, I say we cut off his arms and legs, tie him to a tree, then proceed to let everyone that lost someone in the Trade Center and Pentagon attacks, punch, kick, spit, insult, or whatever they want to do to him. As a matter of fact, we should do this to every terrorist that we catch alive. If I were president(big IF), thats what would be happening.
