I don't have much experience with speak-to-command electronics like that, but what stops someone from trolling another's Google? Like could I troll my friend's and say "Ok Google, text Mom '**** her right in the p***y!'"?

Look at the moto x for reference. Software learns the owners voice.

It is a form of flattery to believe something is too good to be true.

Looks like there is a working prototype.

    Some new details:
    1. Compatible with all android devices 4.3 and above. No mentioning of iOS devices
    2. No camera( good thing in my opinion)
    3. No physical USB charging port.
    4. Water resisentant

^ Never showed a watch in action. It's just talk and talk and talk.
Still not seeing it in action or as a "prototype." Not believing the "demo" that guy did, either... it seems like it's special effects video or CGI. :p

Is it really that hard to take your smartphone out of your pocket and do the exact same things except better than what this watch can do? Whatever precious seconds of time you may save talking to your watch instead using your smartphone seems negligible.

Are you saying a smart watch is not a necessity? I think we all know that. I don't think anyone here is under the impression that one NEEDS a smart watch. I want one... Why does every piece of new tech have to fulfill a nessessity in order for it to be deemed worthy?

I would love this. I work in a lab and wear gloves at least 50% of the time. It's annoying removing them and putting them back on several times a day just to check messages or my calendar. Depending on how well executed this concept is, I may wear a watch for the first time in probably 20 years.

fchowd0311, did anything I say not make sense or is a lie? I am telling you the truth. Show me a WORKING example and I'll admit it's cool to have that.

So we had watches everyone stopped using. Now they have weather and can text, and everyone loves them?!?!? LOLs.
    Really?

At this point, you're just spamming this thread with stupid posts. It's really no wonder how so many people find you so annoying on this forum.

Well I never stopped using them, and do find it worth the savings of pulling my phone out just to tell the time. I'm just not sure that'd still be the case if looking at it for more than the second it takes to see the time, getting info with my wrist held in that position. But you never know until you're using it, and these things look pretty good too, this & the samsung.

^ Well, I said I'd like to see a working model, and not the CGI effects on that first one. I haven't seen one working yet. I agree about "you never know," though. It's true.
So... you refuse to answer my question. Got it.

Here's the Moto 360 in action:

On another note, here's a detailed writeup of the Android Wear preview SDK with a ton of gifs of the interface (minus the Google Now homescreen stuff though):

    1. Go here http://developer.android.com/wear/index.html
    2. Sign up for the SDK
    3. Compile SDK( if you know how to)
    4. Play with the os that you vehemently deny exists

Moto Mobility's CEO said himself there is a fully operational prototype. That hangouts video that was posted shows the lead designer playing with it. The actual website for the product has a target release date that is in the next few months. If it was almost ready for production it would have a sooner release date than summer. How does that automatically equate to "the product does not exist"?

The second video reminds me of a Portlandia skit.
