I really like the offensive games of both Francis and Mobley, however, their defensive games stink.

They constantly go behind the pick, and let their man get a WIDE open look.

Nick Van Excel was the ONLY player scoring for the Nuggets, did we double, did we deny the ball, did we pressure or go over the top of the pick? NOPE !! Guess what, we lost a game we had NO business losing.

Rudy preaches defense, but our guys seem to lolligag around until they try to turn it on late.

If anyone wants to argue about why this team will NOT make the playoffs I will be happy to go toe to toe with you.

The primary reason is they have not learned how to win on a consistant basis, it is going to take at least one more year.

Heck, at least they are exciting while we watch them go through these growing pains.

DaDakota, I have to disagree with ya. Rudy was telling Steve to go under the pick because that's the way he wanted him to play the pick and roll so don't get all over Steve. Also, the reason Van Exel was scorching us wasn't because of the play of our guards it was because our damn big men wouldn't step out and stop the momentum of guys like Lenard and Van exel coming off the pick and roll. Dont blame it on the guards, blame it on the big men

This should not be a surprise to anyone who has followed Houston the past few years. It's not the guard that is the problem -- it's the way Tomjanovich has chosen to defend the pick-and-roll.

Need a second opinion? Ask Stockton.
