Serious question. Were the Rockets jacking up those threes because they figured they wouldn't of gotten any calls if they drove?
I didn't get to watch anything, I just remember seeing us with the lead going into the 4th, we kept it with some pretty decent play (play-by-play), and then suddenly a delay of game and substitutions happened, and we go from up 4 w/ 3m to go to losing by 9. That some ridiculous BS.
James & Ray Allen pick and roll killed the rockets at the end. It took parsons off of James making Lin play defense and harden pickup the cutter or corner not good
No. The refs in the game with Portland a few days ago were the worst ever. Today it is just simple home whistle.
Parsons did nothing in the 4th Bev thought his was a superstar, jacking up everything Lin wouldn't attack old man allen Wade was abusing harden Refs treated LeBron as a God who can't do wrong
I'm thinking Lin is on the Heat or something, the way you guys bad mouth your own players on your teams interesting
This. In the 4th the Rockets worked for every single point either by getting into the lane, rebounding, or or moving the ball around for open 3s. Then we did something stupid like give Ray Allen open threes, or Birdman an open layup. Those mistakes cost us just as much as the refs in the 4th.
That may have been in the back of their minds, but honestly it looked like the Rockets from earlier in the season who just dribbled out the clock late in games and jacked up desperation shots. Other than Harden(and even he's streaky at best), you never want to settle for that kind of play. If Howard had at least set a pick and then the player with the ball was hesitant to drive it to the hoop, your theory might have some validity. But they literally stood out there out of that timeout after the Ray Allen layup and did nothing for 24 seconds. I don't even know if Harden touched the ball.
Their was a play where Lebron bear hugged Lin so Allen got wide open underneath the basket for an easy lay up. He did this right in front of the ref.
Putt Lin at the two and Wade checks in and attacks him making it a FT shooting contest. Think before you post.
4th seed is fine. We can take the Blazers(assuming they maintain the 5th seed which ain't a given). My concern is that we better get back to winning quickly. We're down to only a 2 game lead over Portland for home court and that's including the tiebreaker.
I can't remember the last time I posted in the GARM, but wow the amount of blame on Lin for this game is amazing. The anti-LOF's are worse now you guys have definitely let the LOF's get in your heads and skewer any objectivity.
At least that shot was OPEN. I'll take that shot because it was within the offense and James had passed it from a double team (IIRC) I really think Jeremy wanted to shine against the Heat. He had absolutely no business taking that shot unless it was open or the shot clock was expiring. For a guy that is worshipped, or considered as a high IQ player, it boggles my mind that he chose THAT possession to take a shot that rarely works for him thus far in his career. He could have at least got within a better range or penetrated if he was that dead set on shooting during that time. A simple pick and roll or giving the ball to James to set it all up could have been the momentum changer we needed to win. Instead, Jeremy tries the Kobe shot and the Heat kill us on the other end. Against the Heat, with less than 2 minutes left, there is no room for error. That's why it's confusing. That was an unforced error. We controlled our own destiny...the Heat had no control of that possession until Jeremy *decided* to shoot. That was not a simple "read and react" moment. There was no "read," obviously. At least there is time for the Rockets to work on these situations before the playoffs. This type of stuff cannot happen, regardless of refs.
