HostGator is pretty good. Houston-based web hosting company. I haven't had any issues with them the 2 or 3 times that I hosted with them. Customer support was usually good too.
http://www.squarespace.com/pricing/ Would be my first choice based on recommendations I've heard, but I haven't done a web page since geocities.
Good price for a dedicated server. Not such a good price for a shared server unless it's very feature-rich and they don't have lower price tiers without the features you don't need.
