Make Harden PG and run the show.

    Beverly
    Harden
    Parsons
    Melo
    Howard

    HOLY SHTTT.
Super offense. Who cares about defense when you score every 5 seconds. Other teams defense will just get exhausted. Good luck stopping them score for the whole game.

So now all we have to do is clear out everyone without getting any salary back and hope Melo takes a pay cut.

    Also,
IF we do get Melo, dont even worry about us finding good role players. Good players will come to Houston. No need to dig so deep. Good players will take paycuts just to be in this team.

Maybe we should trade Howard to them and keep Omer since Howard sucks.

That "paycut" comes out to be an 8.7% cut through 5 years from what he would make with a fresh 5-year max deal in New York. When you compare tax rates and standard of living...he's making more money in good ole Texas.

Clear the space is easy. There are lots of teams with capspace and nowhere to spend their money. Heck, give Lin, Asik, DMo, Garcia(if he picks up his option), and Rockets #1 pick(must be given away to clear cap) for nothing is highway robbery for Hinkie since Lin's contract is no big deal on that team. And they can absorb everyone easily.

As for Melo taking a paycut, he has to do it if he wants to go to a winner. Chicago can't give him a full max either. Neither can Miami unless they're just rebuilding with him and Lebron only.

You obviously missed the entire last Knicks season when they won 51 games with him at PF.

I shared back in December when Morey's self-imposed Asik trade deadline was approaching on December 20-21. Morey was trying to move both guys together....for a ton more salary (and a talent) that he could then move to the Knicks in March for Melo and ..... Amare.

Meh you really think if we get him, he will be our starting PF? Didn't he play PF because he had no other choice. And why isn't he playing PF now?

    Yes.

How does this change the fact that they had the winningest team in in 15 years last season?

Put it another way. If for some reason Dwight Howard had to play PG for the Rockets and the Rockets somehow won the championship with him at PG, that would make Dwight Howard a viable PG, no?

Because they traded a 1st rounder for Bargnani? I'm too used to watching Morey operate to understand the inner workings of the Knicks.

I'm not too sure about that. "Volume" scorers don't tend to attract other players. Would Dwight have come here if it was Melo instead of Harden?

Morey would find guys anyways but I don't think he would be able to sign good veterans on the cheap because of the allure of watching Melo iso.

Melo's been at his best when he plays the 4. It opens up the floor, he can rebound and defend well enough to play the position without being embarrassed, and he creates a mismatch on offense. He'd absolutely play PF here (and it's not like Jones or DMo have been even average defensively at the 4).

No it is nice having a center that can actually catch passes and alley oops... hench our record with Asik starting versus Howard starting tells you who is the better center.

You are making too much sense. Its James Dolan. If it makes sense he isn't going to do it, just cause he needs more creative ways to **** on the NY fanbase.
