Al Sharpton will never be President because he doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of getting the Democratic nomination. If he ran as an independent, he would hardly be a blip on the radar screen.

Extremists on either side of the spectrum have little or no chance of being elected President, because they have little or no chance of getting either party's nomination. Same reason why David Duke will never be President...the Republicans would want him as a standard-bearer about as much as the Democrats would want Al Sharpton as a standard-bearer.

Its strange how all the earlier activities and language of Al Sharpton are coming back to haunt him. I do hope that the younger generation might learn a very significant lesson from the fact, we become what we sew in our younger days, when we didnt realy care what other people thaught. They do and they hold it against us, especially if we were too loud.

Yeah, he would not have gotten into Yale or Havard on his own test scores. Yeah, I guess I did misunderestimate him.

Sharpton arose as a black leader who was primarily focused on the worthy issue of police brutality against minorities in New York City. The Brawley matter was stupid and a disaster for him. He has never as far as I known admitted that he was wrong on that matter.

Given that major mistake he doesn't have a chance at the presidency. It is too bad that he is focused so much on potest politics, which is all his presidential campaign will be. He would make a good US Rep from New York. Doesn't matter what whites from the South and other conservative areas feel about him for that offic

I believe that Sharpton has changed and has become much more a mianstream liberal, but it is too late after the disasterous start of his political career. Someone who is an African American and so liberal will have to be virtually perfect not to be destroyed by conservative attacks.

I think the thread title needs something......

How about adding, "10000 reasons..." on the front end of the title?

Well, obviously in the eyes of conservatives, Sharpton is not perfect, so he's already a target, just like Clinton, Gore, Jackson, etc. I'm so sick of liberals trying to argue major Conservative anti-black discrimination ****. Al Sharpton is a self-righteous media-b****; he hurts the black population more than he helps us.

    As for Tawana Bradley...
Sharpton has said that he will not apologize because all that he did was take a young woman at her word. She lied. Sharpton didn't. His only crime was believing a hurt and messed up little girl. Also he said that he would do it again.
Sure, Sharpton has no chance of winning, for a thousand reasons. But as for me, I like him. He supports gun control, gay rights, poor people, women, minorities etc. He was against the war and is also against the death penalty. He is the only candidate that I agree with on every single issue. Plus, the man is funny. I like that.
