I don't know, I just think it's logical to try and win as many games as you can every year. Call me crazy, but I thought that was the whole idea.

I'm not sure if you are but, if you're suggesting the Rockets trading the rights to Jefferson, drafting EG and losing 54 games was all part of the grand scheme to land Yao, maybe we have totally underestimated our front office. Yao fell into our hands.

Dude, just chill. The Rockets front-office was dumb, dumber and the dumbest. But the outcome of their dumb decision was good, better and the best. It all worked out. Sometimes the best thing happened to the dumbest people (like... Forest Gump?).

So, what the hell are you complaining about? You want to trade Yao for Jefferson? The Nets might be interested, and they might throw in Collins and Armstrong as well. EG + RJ + Collins + Armstrong, now you can get everyone. Isn't that what you want? Why don't you start a thread saying that and get drilled by fellow posters?

im sick and tired of this nonsense! why do all of you still live in the past?! that will get you nowhere! i mean look, if jefferson played here, he wouldnt have that kind of a season coz he doesnt have jkidd to help him!! do you think francis and mobley would give RJ the ball anytime he wants?! i dont think so! did you think with RJ here, we would land yao, i dont think so! so, stop living in the past yall! and griffin is a much more better defender than RJ. who will you think help yao on defense? MoT, give me a break. this nonsense should end!

I could be wrong but I think we could have landed RJ, Zach and Parker that year. You win some, you lose some, lucking into the #1 pick sure makes other mistakes slide down a little easier.

BTW Jauquins.. your handle is LAME and you should change it. I'll bet a $1000 you Hawkins could wipe the floor with you. Picking on a guy thrilled to be in the NBA who is our 11th man or something and works hard for us and does not complain about his role just IS NOT cool.

Yes, but was O'Neal ever a good player for Portland? Shake your head side to side, there ya go. Sometimes players need a change of scenery to jump start them, and I believe that that's what O'Neal got when he went to the Pacers.

Now I'm not saying that Griffin will never be a decent player for us, but he definately needs a wake up call.

Also, notice the difference between O'Neal's playing time in Portland and Indiana. His last year in Portland, O'Neal averaged 12 mpg and started a measly 8 games. When he "broke out" the next year in Indiana, he started eighty games and had nearly triple the minutes.

Maybe we should start Eddie every game.

What, we were and he has had more than decent minutes? Oh, sorry...

I say give him one more season, and if he doesn't pan out after three seasons, trade him.

O'Neall didn't get any better because he changed teams, he got better because his body came along. He couldn't smell the floor in Port because he was playing behind vets who probably helped him develop the few years he was there. Once he got to Indy he had had 3 years to sit and learn/develop in Portland and had the chance to display his skills against a bunch of chodes in the east. I am not saying that EG will EVER be as good as Jermaine, but I am betting that at 23 he is a lot more like the Jermaine of today than the EG of today.

I actually thnk there was a good chance we would have drafted Jefferson at 13 if we were drafting for ourselves. At least that's who I had in my mock draft.

I was excited when I saw his highlight clip. Of course, I was ecstatic when we traded for Eddie.
