I think that the Rockets find themselves at a level below the elite teams! Definatley playoff material threats to the west but not a certainty.

The lakers, Spurs, jazz, blazers, suns, kings, mavericks, timberwolves look to be the odds on favorite to rep the west. But the Rockets aren't necessarily on the outside looking in. Right now it isn't clear who will be on the bubble.

But one thing is certain. The Rockets have played the good teams tough. Beaten the teams they have had to beat. And had a few letdowns, but this has not been necessarily the case.

But one thing this season has shown us is that not one single team can be crowned the NBA champion yet. The elite teams in the West are so close to each other talent wise that it is going to be interesting to see who come out on top.

And right now the Rockets might not be the best team but how can you rank the teams? The mavs can beat up on the top teams, the Rocks beat up on the mavs. Rocks beat the lakers. lakers beat the kings. kings beat the Rockets.

It's a mess to sort who the best team is? But one thing is on the mark. several deserving teams will not make the playoffs in the west!!!
