For anyone who hasn't seen this, prepare to have your eyeballs explode. This is a trailer for the game / the live action show that will be coming out. PlayFight is the VFX studio behind Video Game High School (which is actually a pretty cool show). Anyway, enjoy. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/EStjTZ9VwbE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>)

this game is so much fun! even though i suck at these type of games, for some reason i don't mind sucking at this one
There's a very good (IMO) article about the tech behind Titanfall at Digital Foundry: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2014-titanfall-tech-interview They have a good discussion with the lead engineer at Respawn, and he's pretty honest and open about what they did/are doing with the game. Some things seemed a bit odd, but a good read nevertheless (also some info on what to expect in the future as far as updates). I'm going to post this in the CONSOLE WARS thread too, so please avoid any of that here and just go to that thread if you want to get into that.
I mentioned this in the other thread, but I wonder what another 3-6 months in the oven would have resulted in with the game. They seem so optimistic about getting higher resolutions, fixing the frame-rate problems, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if matchmaking too could have improved some with a bit of work. It is an online game though, and I think expectations are a little different these days. Not that there's anything wrong with releasing sooner, and polishing the game up more over time (as long as gamers know and expect that).
Seems like this was a bit of a slip, and I'd say this sounds a bit less than reassuring: If they're having frame rate issues on Xbox One and this is his comment about the 360 version...eh?
Woke up today and was too lazy to go to the store, so just clicked the digital download button. Not sure how I feel about that since now I cant sell it back in 5 months when Im done with it. They need to figure out a better deal for those wanting to go digital...like $49.99 for games, even $54.99. Something, anything.
I agree they should be cheaper. With that said I bought this game digitally also, but I don't regret it.
Actually I haven't met one person that it took longer than 45 minutes to an hour to download. Origin has actually been quite good in that regard (and this is from someone who can't talk about how awful it is, especially compared to Steam).
I saw this game at the xbox party and played like 15 minutes of it. there's no frame rate issues that i'm seeing with it.
