Well you can't account for stupidity among NFL GM's, after all, Tebow was a first round pick. So far this off-season the Niners tried to trade their head coach and then they traded for Blaine Gabbert.....Sometimes stupid things happen and this makes three in a row for the Niners FO.
I don't think Martin is good for a team (bc he sucks imo, not bc of the baggage), but your reasoning is way off and you've lost what little credibility you had (not that it matters to you, or really anyone in the big picture...it's just a bbs). Reread what you wrote. You're forgetting about the main reason this trade happened, and if you think that guy is stupid at talent evaluation, then your point still stands. But it looks like you completely overlooked his involvement just so your point could be made.
And what makes you think they didn't run these moves by Harbaugh....?? Didn't he coach him in college...?? For all we know he probably requested they trade for Martin.
