"Sometimes he’d rather have 29 points and nine turnovers and I tell him, ‘Jeremy, we’re trying to win,’ ”

As much as everyone likes to day dream, you can't have the best player in every position. Our center and SG position should offset their PF and PG position advantage. Rox's best players were not as good as OKC's best player, plain and simple.

More and more I feel this quote epitomises McHale's treatment of Jeremy Lin even to this day...

and its not good for the team.

morale of the story is if durant is gonna go on fire you're probably not gonna win. no point blaming anyone.

First game where I think Beverley played a terrible game on defense. I'll give him a pass for that..I think Lin, even with his stupid TOs, should have been in the game instead. He was doing a better job on Westbrook and provided more offensively.

Overall this team always gets out "toughed" by OKC. I think OKC is not a physical team, but they know Houston will fold if they do play physical. So they end up going on these runs and Houston always plays catch up..

Didn't get to see the game.

From what I gather the team couldn't mentally handle the situation. Which is understandable for such a young and inexperienced team. Bev's first year as a starter, on the big stage.

I'm disappointed that Lin got benched for turning it over. I still remember that okc game from last year when Lin + Harden had that epic game to beat OKC. I just hope that McHale's super strict leash on Lin will result in him being a better player. That's what I was kind of hoping last game, when he had zero turnovers.

With Sefolosha and Perkins out, we really should have had the advantage. If our strategy against OKC is to cross our fingers and hope KD doesn't go off, then WCF is our ceiling, because KD isn't going anywhere.

I think McHale benched Lin more for the heat-check three he took. Lin should realise no matter how well he is playing he is not allowed to take fast-break pull up threes!!! Only Harden, Parsons, Hamilton, Garcia, Casspi, Canaan allowed to do that on this team.

well durant probably isn't going to go for 40 points a game every night so that helps.

Wouldn't this be contradictory because McHale and the team wants Lin to be as aggressive as possible?

It's not only for the heat-check three he took, it's the stupid turnover

Commentary in this thread is at an all time low. Horrible analysis of the game, same old finger pointing, blah, blah, blah.

I usually like Tim Legler as a commentator, but again he said today he thought the original action that caused Westbrook to have surgeries was a dirty play by Bev. Legler couldn't have been more wrong. It was an unnecessary play by Bev, but nothing dirty about that.

Bev is a tough as nails defender, but in nearly two years of playing bb, I dare someone to post a video that he was blatantly dirty. One.

Indeed pimpn, Durant and Westbrook accounted over 90 points while Harden and Howard accounted for 55+.

When we play the Clippers and or Thunder, Howard and Harden has to play big time or they will lose. We are now what 0-6 against these two teams.
