I'm curious to know what their "calibrated performance indicators" are. Any system that would rank UT over Rice would need to double check their controls.

UT offers a whole heck of a lot more than Rice.

Rice is very limited in what they provide. A student attending UT has many, many more resources at their disposal. Rice is a fabulous university, but I'd agree that UT offers a better opportunity to explore.

Not surprising given UT's resources, reputation, research, etc.

Interesting. UVA used to be ranked #2 to Berkeley.

Define better. UT has more money, resources, facilities and network. The only thing Rice has on UT that I can think of is class size and exclusivity.

    Go Texas.

lmao, Brown University got PWNED, they're at 52 in these rankings. Should be kicked out of the Ivy Leagues based off of this ranking alone.

Really questioning the UCLA at #12? Anybody got any theories? And to an extent, Berkeley.

I really think they should reevaluate their rankings. This has to drop them at least 10 spots.

List is obviously broken, no mention at all of Texas State University - San Marcos. Don't they know that Texas State is "The Rising Star of Texas"? BS list.

    Rice fight, never die!

As a biased alum, I would choose Rice over UT any day of the week. While it may be true that UT has more resources, options, Rice has consistently been ranked #1 in quality of life and student happiness. That type of stuff matters greatly especially at such a rigorous school.
