he was healthy in that dallas series and utah series you realize why people were making excuses for tmac's failures, other teams and their stars were winning titles right? you do realize that tim duncan and kobe were significantly better than him? significantly you know what you guys really hate? the TRUTH
Only real shots we had at titles during the yao/tmac era were in 05 and 07... got screwed in 05 in game 5 when Michael finley got that easy put back in the last minute when he clearly didn't re-establish himself in bounds before touching the ball (regardless, still blew that series) and the 07 team could have gone to the finals... it was set up so perfectly for us in the postseason... Warriors upset Mavs in 1st round and we owned them that year since they couldn't stop yao, then in the WCF we would have matched up very well with SA and might have even taken that series, then who knows what would have happened against Cleveland... that being said, tmac was a great player ONLY when healthy.... I always wonder what could have been if they were healthy for atleast full 2 year stretch together... maybe a title could have been won
Dude didn't say anything about him being injured in those series. Lol you are indeed reaching. Let the hate go man
Truth hurts. If kings team and fans think like you, there is a long way for them to see playoffs again.
Tracy Vagrady is one of the most epically legendary losers in the history of the NBA. There is actually no greater poster-boy for failure than him. That's a fact you can look up. Anyone who thinks he's a Rockets legend never saw an actual Rockets legend.
Injuries didn't completely derail TMac. Playing with Howard, Swift, Head, Hayes, Bowen, Sura, Wesley, Padgett, Alston derailed him. Talk about a bad set of role players in retrospect.
Can't believe Tman has only a couple of posts in the 'Skeeter' thread. He is deeming Tracy worthy of discussion. All you can ask for.
lol, which legend did not make his teammates better? Excuses on injuries and teammates does not guarantee a place in legend. If you could find a legend who never went beyond first round of playoffs and had bad teammates in every team he played, then I would admit he is a legend.
LeBron took a bunch of crappy players to the NBA Finals, when LeBron left that team they turned in to a lottery team. Compared to Tmac, Tmac was on an Orlando team that went to the lottery, I doubt LeBron would let any team be that bad. It's pure leadership and will. As far as the original question of this thread, I'm sure you agree, he shouldn't be sitting next to Dream if it was based on Rockets legend status.
Winning 60+ games twice is not classified as having a bunch of crappy players. Cleveland clearly had the better role players than the Rockets. Even though at that time Cleveland with Lebron couldn't beat the Rockets. Again our Role Players choked in the playoff's, not Tracy or Yao.
Who was LeBron's #2? mo williams? Do you remember that ToF RTM something, he hated LeBron. It's that jealousy that defines a Tracy Only Fan A great talent, not a great legend.
Mo Williams to this day still can hit open shots as well as clutch shots. Tracy is and will be a legend to a lot of people tinman. Are they wrong for thinking that way, no sir. My thing is, its not his fault we didnt win a playoff's series during his tenure here. And you knows this pimpn. So cut out the madness John Lopez.
I am a fairly new (international) fan and i like Rockets History threads of Tinman(T-mac threads are just for laugh) ... Is it bad that slowly i am becoming Tinman only fan ?
So if Tracy is legend what is Hakeem? Tracy - 303 games with the Rockets Hakeem - 1177games with the Rockets Now for all the results for Tracy are zero Hakeem Finals MVP -2 Hakeem MVP -1 Olympics Gold -1 DPOY -2 I understand dude, totally. Some people think losers are winners by imagining things in their heads. Also some people can't tell the difference between a great steak and JumboJack
