I agree he was manhandled, and there are some possessions where you can credit Beverley with having wreaked some havoc with Portland's offense, but overall it didn't stop Portland from dominating that game for 3 quarters or Lillard from shooting above his season shooting % and hitting his numbers. They had 106 points at the end of regulation, which is about what they average. The game wasn't won because of defense. It was won because Houston's shooting (especially Harden's) got back on track in Q4.

I made these with Blazers commentary, they are usually just silent when Rockets score.

Yes, the game wasn't won because of Bev (but of course he contributed). But you miss the part about Rox playing much harder in late 3rd and the 4th quarters, led by Harden. That in turn led to better defense, better rebounding ratio (Rox might have even won the rebounding in the 4th and OT, but I don't have the stats), and (who would have guessed after such horrible officiating) even more FT calls.

This game reminds me of those games after ASG last year when Lin was hot and Harden was dominating, and the two of them took over & engineered many blow out games against top teams.

Blazer fans have to be whiniest bunch ever.

They didn't seem to care when Pryzbilla and Oden were flopping against Yao constantly.

Blazers seem like they don't really have a leader. I guess Lillard is it. Aldridge doesn't seem very vocal. Batum was the Rockets killer of a few years past, but I don't think anyone wants to follow his lead as he punches people in the nuts; he was kind of invisible last night.

While this was a very inspirational and emotional comeback victory... the Rockets can't lose sight of the fact that they dogged it for 3.5 quarters, "expecting" to just waltz in and be the better team.

Yes, they don't win this game if it was the beginning of the season... but they also still continue to show that they're prone to lapses of energy/hustle.

I doubt they'll come out flat at any point in the playoffs... but its important that they realize they can be beat by ANY of the current playoff teams.

Lin's inconsistency was due to unannounced injury. Perhaps the coaches want the opponents to not prepare for a slumping, inconsistent Lin, so when he is healthy again he can punch the opponents' defenses with total surprise and they were not prepared for that. LOL. It works against these top teams obviously. No one, including us, knew ahead Lin is going to score 26 on them and play so clutch.

I'm rewatching the game with the Portland commentators, and on the slow-mo replay they said it was Parsons with the heads-up play, leaving his man and intercepting the pass.
It was a slow-mo replay for christ sakes! It was clear as day that is was Lin, and they still got it wrong....

after watching some of the Portland commentary, I can see why Blazers fans are so upset. The calls that The Houston fans were so upset about were kind of just swept under the rug in their broadcast. Man these guys were really boring; could only stand them for a half until i had to look for a download that had Houston commentary.

Lin's interception in the final seconds of Q4 was his best play of this game. If he didnt leave his man and helped out we would have lost that game. Lin frequently left his man for help defense, and got burnt by his own man, I thought thats ill advised and cursed his as off, but for once it's paid off.

didnt watch the game alive, checked the box score in the half, we were shooting below 40% and 1/13 from behind, but only down 7, I knew we were gonna win this game.

The refs being terrible for the Rockets was everyone's main concern at halftime.

Just watched the game. Quite agree.

Lillard would most likely have a uncontested layup as he was in front
of Bev. and there was like 8 seconds left on the clock.
