actually in this situation it helps the Rockets because of Perkins' strength Howard has had some difficulties with him - there was a reason why Boston did so well against the Magic a few years ago with Perk on Dwight.

Refs made some obvious bad calls, but we got our sure too.

POR's favor overall, but not a large margin.

Rockets weren't ready to play, and fortunately had enough in the end. Great win.

 

So he knows the refs were screwing us then. ha.

 

Proud of the Rockets

I think these guys chemistry is coming together well. We can become the 2nd seed or even the 1st seed, one game at time. I notice lately the team have been making the last plays of the game. ( clip boards, talking it out etc.) Each time they have won. I am proud of these guys even when things didn't come their way they didn't give up,the Rockets team fought and won the game. That's what it will take in the playoffs. GO ROCKETS!

 

props to Mchale for the instant adjustment in the 3rd. the lead of Portland was ballooning, and he totally changed his rotation to go small ball at around the 6 minute mark. in recent games, he started bringing in DMo or Asik in the 1st and 3rd quarters at around the 4 minute mark and usually doesn't deviate much from the pattern.

 

Quickly, get Lin with some hottie pic.

Was at the game and it was just a surreal experience such a roller coaster. Best crowd I've seen in a long time felt like I was at a texans playoff game and my voice is completely gone. Just so proud of this team and city, saw something really special in our team tonight. Let's go Rockets!

I don't really get pissed at refs because there always seems to be make ups throughout the game, but near the end of the game, I was pissed because the refs gifted at least a five point favor for the trailblazers.

 

Me too. It was the best crowd I've heard since I went to a Lakers @ Rockets game during the Yao years.

 

This is so effing laughable!! Kudos to our boys for beating both the Blazers *and* the refs. :grin:

- Sadly unsurprised @ T. Jones going MIA. Predictable. I have to think an upgrade at the 4 is coming in the offseason. Tons of upside, but I don't think he can be The Answer on a win-now team. Not yet.
- What can I even say about James Harden? He is absolutely out of his mind unreal right now, and is still severely underrated. I just @ the people who regurgitate the whole he's-just-a-flopper-who-plays-no-defense narrative. This dude is showtime, other-worldly, and clutch as hell. You need a guy whose hands you can put the ball in when a game is on the line, and feel like you can trust him to make some magic happen. James Harden is that guy. We are so lucky.
- Championship grit / the ability to grind out close games / that extra gear is what I thought we were missing most of the season, but I'm seeing it now. I think we have a real shot, and I've *never* said that out loud until now. I believe it.
